iCage, The Bike Lock For Your iPod

Master Lock claims that 4-percent of all robberies are due to iPod thefts, so why not slap a bike lock on it? You just spent your entire month’s allowance on that brand new iPod Touch. Now, you’re looking for a lock so you can hang it up on any street post to force the general public into listening to whatever it is you listen to nowadays.

You’ll be dismayed to know that Master Lock’s iCage, the metal case that secures your iPod to a fixed object, is only designed for the 4GB and 8GB iPod Nano at $14.99 and iPod Classic models at $19.99 per lock. The latest Apple gear won’t fit into this. What a bummer.

Lock it Cup

Personally, I have no issue with other people using my coffee mug. It increases the chance of me picking up a wicked case of cooties and girls love cooties. Seems Israeli designer Efrat Gommeh has other plans. His Lock Cup is a basic coffee mug with a hole in it. A plug for the hole with a keyring is included so you can carry around the plug on you. This ensures that the only person drinking liquids out of that damn cup is going to be the owner, period. It’s a novel concept and would most likely sell like wildfire if released commercially. Now if only we could apply the same idea to the toilet…

Take That Thieves! ViprLock Changes The Key For Your Lock Anytime

If you go away for a few weeks and need to give your key to a housekeeper, babysitter, or dog watcher while your away, who knows whether that person is going out and making a copy of the key, with some sort of diabolical plot for thievery planned on your return. The ViprLock ensures that something like that could never happen, with its easy key lock changing.

The standard ViprLock comes with an A & B key lock, but add-ons are available for up to six different key options. Switching the key setting is as easy as depressing a special button while using key A, and then using key B to unlock the door. The two-key unit is available for $60, with extra key settings for $3 each.

Defendius Maze Lock: Nobody Ever Goes In, Nobody Ever Comes Out

defendius277c663ett5.jpg

Mr. Willy Wonka was the king of being secretive. For years, no one went into his factory and no one came out. The Wonka factory was the proverbial elephant in the room. Although his factory was gated off by iron bound bars, it couldn’t hurt to have a little extra security.

The 100% titanium alloy Defendius from the Art Lebedev Studio assures that nobody gets in, and probably never gets out, thanks to the maze you need to solve just to open the damn door. And what do you get for opening the door? Maybe nothing, maybe a lifetime supply of chocolate. — Andrew Dobrow
