Personally, I’m happy with my iPhone 3G (though I am excited for the iPhone 3.0 OS) and WWDC isn’t too big of a deal to me. But to others, WWDC is everything. New hardware, new software – it’s a true nerd dream. Here’s what everyone is saying about the pending iPhone announcements:

Remember that show The Incredible Crash Test Dummies? It makes you wonder: what’s so incredible about crash test dummies, anyway? It’s probably because they come in all different shapes and sizes. Short ones, fat ones, little ones and even tall ones plant their ass in a driver seat and brace for impact.

Oobject must be fans of the 1993 Dummies cartoon show, because it’s posted a collection of crash test dummies used in a variety of different situations. Bet you didn’t know that a motorcycle-riding crash test dummy is made up differently than that of a pedestrian crash test dummy just waiting to be run over at a crosswalk.

The boys over at iLounge have compiled an excellent list of iPhone apps that can be used to create music. Everything from piano to beats to guitar sounds can be had in the palm of your hand thanks to Apple’s magnificent phone. One particular piece of software, BeatMaker, looks incredibly complex and robust. Chances are you can really get some creative juices flowing with this app. Just make sure you use headphones, as we’d like to keep our hearing this time around.

There has been a metaphorical shit-storm of weird products recently, combining odd branding with some of the most obscure of gadgets. And while dropping a brand name on a box in order to sell a few more products isn’t necessarily rare, some of these branding combos are pretty out of this world. Clocks are one of those gadgets that we don’t realize how important they are to our lives until we are left without one. Luckily, most cellphones these days come with a clock and alarm built right in, but for some people, this just isn’t enough. Some of us need that little (or sometimes, huge) extra boost of motivation to pull those covers away from our bodies.
