LEGO Minifig Wants To Take A Chomp Out Of Your Apple MacBook

minifig-macbook

I sort of feel bad. The LEGO minifig trying to eat my MacBook is clearly starving. Why else would you attempt to eat a perfectly good electronic? On the other hand, I’d much prefer my MacBook not have any further bite marks, barring the original bite mark of the Apple logo.

But no, I’ve had enough of this. My MacBook never did anything to warrant biting. Just go away minifig. You’re adorable and all, but enough’s enough. You can grab your own minifig MacBook decal for $14.

Life-Sized LEGO Mario is the LEGOiest Plumber Ever

life-sized-lego-mario1

We’ve seen Mario’s henchmen in LEGO form before, but never have we seen the man himself quite like this. Weighing in at a massive 110 pounds and standing 5 feet 9 inches tall, this life sized Mario model is completely structured, modeled and built usingĀ  over 40,000 LEGO bricks. The pictures do all the talking here.

Built specifically for the Netherlands’ Game Mania by Dirk VH, the result of this massive undertaking is to be sold on eBay, with all proceeds heading off to charity, most likely to aid starving plumbers.

A Pair of Geeky Michael Jackson Zombie Shirts

mjl4d

While surfing through the ole feed reader today I came upon not one, but two awesome MJ “Thriller”-themed shirts, both with a geeky flair. The above tee print is a mash-up of Michael Jackson Thriller-era and the game Left 4 Dead. A perfect mix if you ask me.

Hit the jump for a lego-fied journey to the world of Thriller.

LEGO 4 Dead

lego_4_dead_01

Your favorite multiplayer zombie slaying game gets the LEGO treatment. Made using custom LEGO minifig stickers for extra detail, these Left 4 Dead LEGO figurines could only be better if they somehow integrated Star Wars into the mix. I know, it’s a long shot, but come on, what’s wrong with dreaming?

Make Your Minifig Masterpiece with LEGO Stop Animation Camera

videocamera

You can really get anything made with a LEGO brick pattern, can’t you? Even something as moderately obscure as a stop animation camera.

If your into claymation or minifig-cinema, the stop-motion feature is perfect for creating your own shorts (or pants). This camera retails for around $80. Not too shabby for such an abundant amount of geekery.

The Hoff and Pam Anderson Get the LEGO Treatment

baywatch-lego

Two of the biggest stars from one of the best of the worst shows from the 90s. Baywatch launched a revolution, not of television, but of wanking. There is no telling how many tissues this show wasted. I probably killed a small forest myself. I mean, just look at that body. He must work out.

It was only a matter of time, we suppose, that the prototypical 90s series entered the realm of geeky mash-ups. David Hasselhoff and Pam Anderson don’t look nearly as good these days (especially Pam… yikes) but their LEGO counterparts catch their image from their glory days of sexual iconic-ism.

LEGO Star Wars Chess Set

star-wars-lego-chess

Lego builder Brandon Griffith created this awesome Star Wars chess set made completely out of LEGO elements.

Griffith didn’t adhere to the typical chess piece rules. A few of the chess men are actually designed as vignettes from the movie. For example, the king’s bishop is actually a model of Obi Wan Kenobi disabling the Death Star’s tractor beam. Griffith also focused on the board’s durability. So basically, it won’t fall apart when you move it around.

LEGO Donald Duck

He might not transform into a Bug mobile, but he’s just as awesome in my book. LEGO Donald Duck is just as impossible to understand as the real one.

lego-pirate1

One of our favorite holidays is coming up on September 19th. While technically everyday should be “Talk Like a Pirate Day” for us, September 19th is the day the world comes together and arghs and urghs in harmony.

In celebration of this kickass holiday and as an entry for September’s Mini Build Design Contest, Flickr user polywen created this awesome LEGO brick pirate, complete with a creative wooden leg. Just keep an eye on your yellow bricks, they might be mistaken as gold booty.
