Is This Screenshot Proof of iTunes 9 Social Networking Integration?

itunes-9-facebook1

According to BGR, this screenshot taken from Facebook shows the upcoming social networking interaction offered by iTunes 9, expected to be announced at Apple’s September 9, 2009 special event.

While the screenshot clearly shows notifications for new songs added to the iTunes library and the creation of a playlist, I wonder how far Apple has gone with the social interaction. Will we be able to share the tracks we are currently listening too?

X-Men Origins: Wolverine Leaks Online

wolverine

20th Century Fox is having a bad week. Like, a really bad week. Yesterday, a work print of the upcoming movie X-Men Origins: Wolverine leaked online and consequently, made its way around the world. A work print is a copy of the movie straight from the studio, but it may be missing effects, post-production audio, etc.

And such was the case. I got a copy of the movie yesterday and a few of us all watched it. It was not only a terribly incomplete movie, with Hugh Jackman still hanging from ropes in some scenes and 3-D wireframes all over the place, the plot was just awful. I’m glad I had a newspaper to read whilst my roommates continued watching.

Either way, Fox is pissed, the FBI has been called in and rumor has it Rising Sun Pictures, an Australian visual FX company, leaked the damn print. To piracy and beyond!

Blackberry Storm Pricing Leaked

Over on Howard Forums, a cellphone forum I stopped going to years ago, some kind stranger was nice enough to leak a screenshot of some placeholder pages on Verizon Wireless‘ website. The Blackberry 9530 Storm is going to cost $219 with a two-year contract and a killer $519 if you decide to pay month-to-month. A one-year contract upgrade will net you the Storm for $289. If you want the Storm, I’d say this is your best bet.

Don’t get me wrong. These screens could very well be doctored or ’shopped, but for now, it’s nice to have a little more information on Verizon’s upcoming iPhone killer.

Fallout 3 Xbox 360 Version Leaked

Just a few days after going gold, Fallout 3 has leaked on to the Internet. While it may seem to be one of the worst console piracy cases of the year, so far it has yet to reach the controversial level that Spore has had and Bethesda has yet to make an official statement regarding the leak.

So far, only the Xbox 360 version has been leaked. Meaning, you’ll have to heavily mod your console after downloading the 6.52 GB file. While the game ships on the 28th of October, many pirates can’t wait that long. And why should they? We’ve all been waiting ten years for this game, it’s about time it got in to the hands of the public. I can’t wait to play it.

First Leaked Look At The Apple App Store UI

picture-7.jpg

A clever iPhone dev was playing around with the App Store included on the SDK and hacked versions of the iPhone 2.0 firmware. Little did he know that he was about to discover a first look at Apple’s App Store, instead of the usual “cannot connect” error warning.

Just revealed on the Modmyifone forums, here is the very first look at what the iPhone’s App Store will look like, of course with many more applications available. So it would seem that Apple is already playing around with the App Store service, which looks eerily similar to the Installer.app that Apple was trying so hard to stop. — Andrew Dobrow
