Logitech Harmony 1000 Touch Screen Universal Remote: Take control

logitech harmony 1000

Nothing makes a man feel more like a man then having full control over the gadgets and electronics he surrounds himself with. What about a remote that looks just as cool as any of the gadgets it controls? The Logitech Harmony 1000 has a full color touch screen that, from the looks of it, looks really cool.

The remote displays the question, “What would you like to do?”. Very conversational we’d say for a consumer electronic. The on screen options make any media related job pretty easy, but more importantly, interactive and cool looking.

A really cool addition is it’s ability to send both infrared and radio frequency commands, which means that the remote can control gear through cabinets and in other rooms. The 3.5″ LCD touch screen is a perfect size to be a comfortable navigational process. The batteries are rechargable so no running to the store to pick up AAs.

Setup is done right through your computer so theres no more macro programming needed to get up and rolling. It looks a little big as a one handed remote so you might need to hold the Harmony the way would old a game controller (excluding the Wii). — Andrew Dobrow
