Crazy Uncle Ballmer to Speak During Jobs’ Keynote at WWDC
Calling Ripley’s Believe or Not! Warning, warning, this is not a drill. Steve Ballmer is in the hizouse. CEO of Microsoft, now the second most valuable tech company in the U.S. (the first spot was just recently overtaken by Apple oddly enough), Steve Ballmer is allegedly scheduled to have a 7-minute chunk of speaking time during Steve Jobs’ keynote at the Apple Worldwide Developer Conference or WWDC in San Fran on June 7th. Apple Keynote Roundup
… Do you hear that? Those are the crickets chirping. Apple performed its last Macworld Keynote today sans Steve Jobs. Instead, Apple senior vice president Phil Schiller delivered it and boy was it lackluster. A lot of software upgrades for iWork, iLife, etc. iPhoto has some new features and iWork.com will be Apple’s Google Docs rival for cloud collaboration. You can also take music lessons via GarageBand with artists like Sting and Patrick Stump of Fallout Boy. After the software... Continue reading
Steve Jobs Not Going To Macworld, Apple’s Last Year
Just about every major news outlet is reporting that Steve Jobs will not be speaking at the Macworld Keynote in January. Apple has also gone on record to state that 2009 will be the last year it will present at Macworld. Huge news; so huge that Apple’s stock is taking a huge beating while rumors of Jobs’ health swirl about. I hope Apple knows what it’s doing. Perhaps a new event is on the horizon? Link
Crazy Uncle Ballmer Caught On Stage With MacBook
First Steve Ballmer publicly called his beloved Windows Vista platform an “incomplete product“. Now he’s been CAUGHT within yards of a MacBook Pro on the same stage in which he happens to be giving a presentation! Okay, so the story goes something like this: Mr. B was scheduled to give a keynote presentation for Microsoft in Louvain and one of the earlier presenters left their Macbook Pro on stage during his rush to get out of the limelight. The story... Continue reading
Coolest desk ever? Microsoft keynote unveils coolness
Check out this keynote made by a Microsoft R&D representative. Microsoft is working on surface area touch desks, with a Minority Report-like interface. The desk looks super cool and presents all the information needed to get a job done, in this case, a manufacturer supervisor. The idea of real time schematics with such a cool interface could really be groundbreaking in the business scene. Not to mention that these desks would be insanely popular with the geek population. We... Continue reading
