TAG RESULTS FOR: iphone dock

Old meets new(ish) in Jay Hauf’s Dreamcast iPhone Dock creation. Mr. Hauf, you have just propelled yourself into one of the top spots for best iPhone dock mod. I don’t know if this is cooler than the Dinosaur Dock, because come on, it’s a fricken’ dinosaur, but it’s pretty damn close.

Geeking it up DIY-style is all about using everything you have at your disposal to create something totally awesome. This iPhone 3GS Box Dock totally lives up to that principal. Using the actual box that the phone came in, all this DIY requires is a steady hand with a pair of scissors and a liberal application of glue. Apply the included charging and docking materials to a cut-out in the box and voila… instant dock.

Thankfully, the maker of this project chose a herbivore to work with, rather than say a Raptor or T-Rex. No missing fingers for us. The iPhone Dinosaur Dock is the result of the stripping of a Brachiosaurus toy, replacing its innards with a bunch of tasty gadgetry. I really don’t fit in with the majority here. I’ve never used a case for my iPhone. I’m not much of a case sort of guy. I like to bare back it. But for all you guys who do consistently use a case for your iPhone, you probably have issues docking the device. Every time you want to charge the iPhone on a dock you have to remove its damn case.
