Evil Lego Head Must Protect John Connor

mechinical-head-lego_54.jpg

With inspiration clearly drawn from the Terminator, this Evil Lego Machine Head was made by a Lego fanboy. While it might not be much competition to Nathan Sawaya’s incredible brick art, the Machine Head is actually pretty haunting looking.

We wonder if it’s like one of those paintings that is looking at you no matter what angle you are looking at it. Those eyes are pretty haunting. Thanks asshole, now I won’t sleep for a few nights. — Andrew Dobrow

So Watt!: Environmental design competition brews up ideas for the future

positive_flow_liberty_1crop.jpg

Our planet’s environment is definitely one of the hot topics of the moment. Two days ago, a bunch of designers came together to discuss what possibilities could help save our environment from serious endangerment.

One of those design concepts was so impressive, we had to share it. This concept suggests adding a wind mill onto the iconic Statue of Liberty. Now, while we never see this actually happening, some of these designs might serve up some inspiration for your own thoughts. Have your own ideas? We’d love to know. If it’s impressive enough, you might just find a post dedicated to it. — Andrew Dobrow

The literal Bookshelf of Knowledge

Here’s a cool idea for a weekend project. A bookshelf made entirely of encyclopedias. The most literal bookshelf we’ve ever seen. The inspiration behind this project was to get rid of unsold books from a Half Price Book retailer. Pretty damn snazzy if you ask us. Give it a try and let us know how it goes! — Andrew Dobrow
