Hot Radiator Tells It How It Is

hot-radiator

Hello, I’m a radiator and I’m hot, not cold. I’m more on the scalding side than the freezing side. Not chilly, but quite warm. In fact, why don’t you just read me.

The Hot Radiator tells you exactly the dealio with its lettered design. It would seem that the letters also turn red when the radiator is on, for extra warning. You might want to teach your slaves kids how to read, like, now. Let’s avoid any unneeded insurance investigations, shall we?

The Pirate Bay Sold To Software Company

piratebaysimpsons

Wow. You know, I was dreaming earlier this morning that I owned a Ferrari F360, but now even that is enough to keep the shock out of me regarding this news. The Pirate Bay, a website famous for pioneering the online torrent market, has been acquired by Global Gaming Factory X (GGF) for $7.7 million. What does this mean for TPB’s users?

Bad news, according to TorrentFreak. While the TPB will become a publicly traded company on a Swedish exchange, it will ditch the fact that it hosts and tracks torrents. Now, a third-party company will be used to serve up torrents, leading the way for copyrighted material to be forbidden from being uploaded. Or, worse, GGF could shut the site down for good. Ugh.

Review: JBL/Roxy Reference 250 Headphones

roxyjbl_250

JBL has always been a purveyor of fine audio, which makes total sense considering its parent company is Harmon Kardon. A few years back, I reviewed some Reference 220 earbud headphones, which were affordable and sounded great on the iPod. This time around, JBL has teamed up with Quiksilver’s surfin’ sister company Roxy on a line of headphones that are catered towards young women. Do they stand the test of time? Perhaps.

    It’s Official: The Amazon Kindle DX

    kindle_DX

    After all that hype! 9.7-inches of fury with a $489 price tag. Get ready to witness Amazon’s blitzkrieg on the newspaper and textbook industries. Sporting 4GB of storage and native PDF support doesn’t hurt either. Did we mention EVDO? Oh yeah. Very nice. Look for the Kindle DX to drop this summer.

    IceBlok Keeps Damn Cubes Where They Are Supposed To Be

    iceblok

    While the little things, such as ice cubes rubbing against my lips and under my nose, aren’t too much of an annoyance to me, there are times, on the hottest of days, when the sweat is just pouring from every pour in my body, those dog days of August, where everything is an earth shattering pain in the asshole. It’s the reason I occasionally opt-out of ice if the drink as been in the fridge for a bit. That, and that weird icy taste caused after the ice melts. IceBlok ends all of that jazz. The ice will stay exactly where it’s supposed to be.

    No more chapped mustache for me.

    * Quicker: Turns pages 20% faster
    * Longer lasting: 25% increase in battery life
    * Better display: 16 shades of gray (was 4)
    * Bigger memory: Stores up to 1,500 books
    * Bigger vocabulary: Built-in 250,000 dictionary
    * Better navigation: With a 5-way joystick
