Mszunefan Calls It Quits, Regrets Zune Tattoos

You’ve gotta be one fat fucking loser to want to tattoo “Wel-come to the social” on your shoulder. It looks like some five-year old tattoo artist did it, or at least thought up the idea. It’s bad enough it’s the Zune slogan, but even worse: it’s a terrible slogan. Considering no one bought the Zune except this guy and four other people leaves little to be desired in regards to being welcomed to the social. Thanks for welcoming me, now where’s the exit?

Long time Zune fanatic Mszunefan is not the only one looking for the exit. He posted on Zunescene:

“I am done. I have had the Zune since day 1 and have noticed little improvement. I have tried my best to support them every step of the way but the recent Xbox Live announcement at E3 made me lose it. To not include Zune Marketplace or the ability to load videos from Xbox Live to your Zune made me finally give up. I am in the works of figuring the best way to get a new tattoo to cover the logo on my arm. Thanks for all the harsh comments and you will see very little of me anymore.”

Note to self: never tattoo a lousy corporate logo and a terrible slogan to match, onto my skin. I’ll only cover them up later with the latest Microsoft OS logo.

Evil Lego Head Must Protect John Connor

With inspiration clearly drawn from the Terminator, this Evil Lego Machine Head was made by a Lego fanboy. While it might not be much competition to Nathan Sawaya’s incredible brick art, the Machine Head is actually pretty haunting looking.

We wonder if it’s like one of those paintings that is looking at you no matter what angle you are looking at it. Those eyes are pretty haunting. Thanks asshole, now I won’t sleep for a few nights. — Andrew Dobrow

The Real Firefox

How big of a fanboy do you have to be to put your dog through the hassle of shaving a mohawk strip down the center of its back and then painting it Firefox orange. Can’t the ASPCA do something about this? Come on, animal cops, this is clearly animal cruelty.

Now, if only the doggy’s little bed was a little globe pillow, they’d be all set. How could you forget the blueness? And they call themselves nerds. — Andrew Dobrow

360-Degrees of chill for real “fanboys”

Picture_2.png

In the summer, when you and your buddies are chilling by the fan, there seems to always be a fight to who gets to sit in front of the cool air flow. I mean, most fans turn, like, 90 degrees, if that. The 360-degree Fan adds a whole new definition to the word Fanboy.

With 360-degrees of coolness, this fan might not make a all around cooler temperature than any other fan, but it will sure as hell cool a lot more people without a fist fight breaking out if it’s placed strategically. You can pick this up for $240 or you can just buy a lot of normal fans and duct tape them together. It’s your choice. — Andrew Dobrow

Frat boy meets fanboy in the Nintendo Fraternity House

There’s a fine line between being a fan and being a fanatic. This Nintendo-themed Frat House is off the charts fanaticism at its very finest. A chapter of Sigma Phi Epsilon decided to turn their master quarters into a Nintendo fanboy’s dream.

The frat features a laser shooter staircase, a Duck Hunt inspired foyer, paper-mache characters, and other Nintendo references that us geeks can truly appreciate. The photos of the crazy house say it all. We bow down to you fine sirs. (more…)

In name of the Wii, Xbox 360 display boxes vandalized in an act of guerrilla hack marketing

Some geek out there really doesn’t want us to buy an Xbox 360, and they aren’t afraid to throw it in our faces either. While one of the game store owners was distracted, over-zealous gamer Dustin Wilson took a white marker and wrote the words “Buy a Wii instead!” on the three Xbox display boxes in the window of the store.

The antic is an entry to the EvWiiWhere Challenge, a contest for Wii fans to show the word Wii spelled out in unconventional ways. The vandalism of the 360 box seems a little immature for our tastes. But who knows. Those Xbox boxes in question could be worth a lot more now. We’re sure Miyamoto is thrilled with these fanboy antics. — Andrew Dobrow
