Dante’s Inferno Video Game Preview: Actually Looks Really Awesome
Here is the developer preview of the second circle of hell, Lust, from the upcoming Dante’s Inferno video game by EA. Disturbing, visceral, dark, tormenting and, most importantly, awesome. All words which describe what we can see from the game. The devs decided not to go overly smutty, considering the subject of Lust, though instead delve into the dark torment of the word. The gameplay sort of looks like a cross between God of War and Diablo. As someone who... Continue reading
Palm Opens Up Pre SDK
Good news for those of you who are sick of the iPhone. Palm has finally let loose the Mojo SDK, which will enable developers to build apps for its upcoming Pre phone. In addition to the standard fare in a phone-based SDK, Palm is offering “cloud computing” services which emulate push technology. Sounds like someone is trying to compete with RIM and Apple! Great news and all, but still nothing official on the Pre. Rumor has it that sometime in... Continue reading
NASA Working On MMO
While World of Warcraft still reigns supreme as king of the MMOs, Blizzard has an unusual competitor entering the market: NASA. The government space agency is developing an MMO that takes place around 2035 and focuses on “being in a habitat on a planetary surface and doing things like mining Helium-3 for fuel, operating a hydroponics facility to grow plants and create oxygen and operating robots and vehicles.” Sounds pretty entertaining if you’re interested in outer space. The working title... Continue reading

Motorola and Nokia Forming Big Android Teams
Nokia is tight but Motorola? I haven’t seen a desirable phone from you guys since the PEBL. Ouch! In all seriousness, both phone manufacturers are building up solid Google Android teams in house to help develop phones that will run the OS. Motorola is supposedly forming a huge 350 person team to solve the lack of Android-equipped phones the company offers. Of course, none of this matters since last week, T-Mobile and HTC announced the G1 Android phone. There’s not... Continue reading
Just A Dozen More Years To Go!
So what if George Broussard of 3D Realms said: “It’s going really well. There are several hours of fairly polished game to play. We’re actively testing parts of the game and getting feedback from play testers and things are coming together.”
Why, God? Why? Twitter For The DS
If you’re a Twitter whore and you just so happen to own a Nintendo DS, then you’ll be pleased to know that accessing Twitter is now possible on your portable gaming system. Unfortunately, it’s only in Spanish at the moment, but if you’re desperate to let everyone know when you’re eating and shitting then I’m sure you can get around the language barrier. DSTwitter is free, all you’ve got to do is follow these steps: Prepare a memory card (R4DS)... Continue reading
The Beagle Board Does Not Include Free Peanuts
Digi-Key has unleashed its power house single-board computer called the Beagle Board. This developer dream board is perfect for DIY projects and ground level design work. Don’t judge it by its size either, its processor: the ARM Cortex A8, runs up to 600MHz while delivering over 1,200 MIPS (million instructions per second). It packs quite a punch for a 3″ x 3″ board. It connects to your computer via mini-A to standard-A adapter with a high speed USB 2.0 port... Continue reading
Arduino Is The Next-Gen Gaming Platform
We’ve seen a lot of neat stuff made with the Arduino processor, like that Mad Hatter top hat or the gigantic keyboard. With the infinite possibilities the Arduino offers, where are all the games made for this development platform? Enter the ArduGame, a hand held device that runs a small game that has yet to be named. Using an OLED display and the controls of an old Sony PSP, the folks at BricoGeek have crafted a fine piece of gaming... Continue reading
