Kati Peck might be a little bit of a nerd for creating a whole batch of intricately decorated Star Wars cupcakes, but as far as I’m concerned, she’s one talented nerd with a knack for baking. Each cupcake features our main man, Darth Vader, in all his Dark Side glory. Underneath his mask lie two bright-red lightsabers.

All this talk about Star Wars is giving me an elongated lightsaber. Thankfully, Kati also made a batch of Lost-themed cupcakes that look like a desert island when viewed overhead. One thing’s for sure, though: all these cupcakes look amazingly delicious. After the jump, more pictures/lunch!

How big of a Spongebob fan are you or members of your family? Enough that you’d dedicate an entire event to the square pants-donning sea creature? Luckily for you, Spongebob’s rectangular shape makes him easy to integrate as a birthday cake design.

Back in November, Blizzard released a slew of celebrity World Of Warcraft commercials, one of which starred William Shatner as the nature grasping Shaman. Oh sure, we’ve seen our share of gamer themed cakes, but this super-chocolaty cake showcases the Shaman symbol from the popular MMO.

I don’t think Star Trek ever had a sweets-themed episode, but Shatner’s slight belly paunch leads me to believe he is no stranger to the ways of the baked good. The Shaman cake is also one of those delicious and savory desserts which leaves your teeth covered in a black film, emulating pirates and the Undead. All I can say is, OM NOM NOM. — Andrew Dobrow

A crafty cook / Flickr user has been keeping her hands full with these retro-gaming cupcakes. Something tells us that the original gamers who played these games, who are now suffering from diabetes because they played games constantly instead of working on their health, are saddened by these delectable treats.
