Soldering Floss

Truth be told, solder isn’t very pretty. I tend to chuck it in my toolbox and leave it there until I need it. I should really be more like these Flickr users that took solder-holding to the next level with empty dental floss containers. Tooth Tattoos Make For A Humorous Write-up

The year is 2011. Rap music has evolved to the point where bling and grillz are no longer cool. The new fad is tattoos. Rappers everywhere from all crews are swarming dentist offices trying to get tooth tattoos. What are tooth tattoos? I’m glad you asked.

If you were hoping to get an image of Andy Warhold silk-screened onto a tooth, no dice. Costing between $75 and $500, rappers of all wealth flocked to Salt Lake City to get images of George Washington and Elvis attached on their teeth. Thus, the hit single of 2009 was born: “Saltin’” by Chamillionaire.

2 months with the UV lamped toothbrush case

Japanese are obsessive with hygiene, so much that somebody invented the ultimate toothbrush carrying case with built-in UV lamp; supposedly it’ll kill germs. While everything sounds so much like a dream, the case is so portable, the UV lamp runs on AAA batteries. So the guys who tested it took it for a try, their conclusion this morning is that it works! Though we have no chance to verify their claim of removing “99.999% germs”, what we’re certain is that after using the toothbrush for 2 months everyday and leaving it in the case, the brush is not stained at all and it’s still odorless. It’s up to you to decide whether a squirky clean toothbrush is worth 35 bucks and a trip to Japan. –Sam Chan
