Google Celebrates 09/09/09 at 09:09:09 AM

google-090909

In honor of an event that will only happen once this century, Google has ceremoniously altered their logo in honor of 9/9/09 at 9:09 AM, the only time in 100 years where the time and the date will feature the exact same amount of 9s in the same placement.

Google didn’t take the ornate path this time, opting for a simple boxed digit design added to the bottom of their everyday logo. But at least this is one mystery that is solved without days of speculation, much like when Google added a UFO to their logo only days ago, launching speculation for Google’s reasoning.

Personal Library Kit: You Can Be A Sexy Librarian Too!

biblio

Your friends are always drooling all over your precious book collection, begging to let you borrow just one of your sacred tomes. “No, dude. I already told you. The last time I let you borrow a book I found it in your trash can covered in feces.” And he swears that you never let him borrow the book in the first place. We need proof!

The Personal Library Kit provides everything you need to host your own private literature lending service. Date slips, pencils and stamps are included. Sadly, a sassy attitude and sexy black rimmed glasses are not.

Status Calendar Asks The Golden Question: What Are You Doing Today?

status1

Facebook. Twitter. What do they have in common? Not only are they two of the most popular and fastest growing social sites on the net, but they also ask people a very simple question. They both want to know what you are doing. What’s on your mind? That’s awesome if you live a digitally social life, but some people still like to work with paper and keep their daily thoughts private. Don’t ask me why, they just do.

The Status Calendar keeps it simple. One simple question on each dated page. What are you doing today? Such a general question will spark your brain into action and set a mood of productivity for the rest of your day. More photo love after the jumperoni. (more…)

Tokyo Flash’s 10 Pack Abdominal Watch

Yet another watch from Tokyo Flash that requires a mathematical formula just to tell time. This is no joke. Telling time on a watch modeled after my bitchin’ 10 pack of abs shouldn’t be a problem so long as you remember what each color of the transitioning LEDs represents.

Named the Kisai Tenmetsu, this Tokyo Flash watch joins the club of mold breaking designs. Made of aluminum and finished with a soft alumite coating, this is one watch that will have strangers asking you for the time. It’s a damn shame you won’t have a response. The Kisai Tenmetsu is available in silver or black for $257.

rememberring.gif

As many ways as technology has provided us to remember our anniversary, and as much as our lady friends might drop hints, we men always have a way to let the date slip our minds. Another stylish method could never hurt, especially one that goes to extreme measures such as the Hot Spot “Remember” Ring.

Described as “being hot enough to discomfort, but not enough to burn”, the Hot Spot ring uses a micro themopile to heat up to 120 degrees for exactly 10 seconds, 24 hours before your big day, literally searing the date into your memory. Let’s just hope you don’t forget to wear the ring as well. Available in sizes 10-13 for $760 (!) — Andrew Dobrow
