A Cross Stitch Sampler of the Internet

Back in the good ole days, crafty old women would test out their hot new stitches on what is known as a cross stitch sampler, basically a strip of cloth with a series of random stitches sewn across it. Most of the time these samplers are tacky and boring, branding cliched messages such as “Home Sweet Home.”

The Internet Cross Stitch Sampler teaches us that samplers don’t have to be the old fuddy duddy norm. You CAN mix the new with the old and come out with something totally awesome. I love every little detail.

Cross Stitchin’: Zelda Edition

This guy is a fucking genius. Servotron, the man behind the tapestry, is a cross stitching genius who has recreated the entire world map of the SNES classic The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past out of whatever it is you stitch with.
