Hand-Crocheted Baby Viking Hat

viking-hat

When my kid isn’t wearing their hand-knit Legend of Zelda Link outfit, there’s no way that he/she will be wearing some conventional baby outfit. Oh, helllllll no. At the very least, it will be wearing something like this Hand-Crocheted Viking Hat, made specifically for toddler warriors.

Available in pretty much any color you desire, the baby Viking Hat will set you back $30, but that’s for a custom made piece of clothing. Adult sizes and wool material is available for a higher price. I might just get a matching hat for myself.

DIY: Mario Raccoon Rug

mario-raccoon-rug

Looking for something productive to make with that hidden crocheting talent of yours? This 7 x 7 ft Mario Raccoon Rug took this craftster about 15 days to finish, or about 120 hours, hand crocheting each and everyone of its 386 granny squares.

Pixel crocheting. Now that’s an interesting concept. Taking the old and making it new again. That’s what awesomeness is all about. I bet Mario’s ’stache would feel nice and bushy on my footsies.

Stuffed MST3K Tom Servo Doll Was Crocheted By Hand

tomservo

In the not too distant future, next Sunday A.D., there was a guy named Joel, not too different from you and me. To make a long story short, he was abducted by a mad scientist and put into space with a collection of ultra-hysterical robots, most notably Tom Servo and Crow. Cambot and Gypsy had their place, but let’s be honest, it wasn’t as lead characters.

Anyway, for those of you who are nuts-o about Mystery Science Theater 3000, here is a totally rad Tom Servo doll which was crocheted by hand. You won’t be finding this in any store unfortunately, but maybe you could convince your grandma to make you your own. And if that doesn’t work, you can always threaten her with a nursing home, or your fists.

Under The Sea: Crochet Coral Reef

For once, we’ve come across a product that is handmade and not featured on Etsy. This time, we have a coral reef that was painstakingly crocheted and set up on a table. Take a step back and squint hard enough. You might find that this coral reef looks pretty damn real from a distance. Amazing detail and true craftsmanship are what make this a lovely choice of design.

This is the part where I crack a joke about a coral reef, except that there are no funny jokes regarding coral reefs. Thank you for understanding.

More Left 4 Dead Arts And Crafts

The tank is back. This time around he’s not throwing cars and crushing skulls with lifeless paper arms. No sir, this tank is born anew thanks to Craftster user windgie79 who crocheted Amigurumi dolls of the entire infected cast of Left 4 Dead for her husband.

The witch, the hunter, the boomer, the tank, the smoker — that’s all of them, right? Aided by a pattern from Creepy Cute Crochet by Christen Haden, it wasn’t long before windgie79 was well on her way to crocheting the troublesome zombie crew of Left 4 Dead in a less horrifying, but more cuddly adaptation.

Crocheted Foot Long Has The Works

Seeing this crocheted sandwich makes me hungry for a hoagie. Etsy seller Candypop Creations is crazy for crocheting and it shows with this foot long sandwich I’m just dying to sink my teeth in to. All I’d get is a mouthful of yarn, but with a vivid imagination that yarn could taste like my favorite sandwich from DiVellos Deli. What the hell is that black thing with the multi-colored dots? It looks like a burn Keebler M&M cookie.

Super Mario 1-up Mushroom Scarf

super mario mushroom scarf

We would totally rock this scarf on the upcoming winter days, if only our relatives were hip enough to understand our inner geek as well as our outer geek. $95 seems like a lot for a scarf, but considering it’s 75″ long and is stylish as hell, we know a lot of people who would shell out the cash. If you remember playing the original Mario on Nintendo, there is no way not to feel a magnetic force of nostalgic attraction when seeing the 1-up mushroom. We can almost hear the sounds of the game in our head. Wait, that’s not in our heads, it’s on our TV. — Andrew Dobrow
