Awesome Pac-Man and Tetris Gaming Shirts

concept-gaming-clothing1

I’m in love with the subtle beauty of these two awesome t-shirt concepts. The Pac-Man shirt features Packy om-nomming your buttons while the Tetris tee shows a set of Tetris blocks at the base of the shirt, but my favorite part is the long vertical Tetris block used as the zipper. Hit the jump to see the Tetris shirt.

Playstation 4 Next Gen Concept

playstation4-concept1

Designed by the same fortune teller who created this Xbox 720 concept, Tai Chiem’s next target is the Playstation 4, the potential next gen console for Sony and the sequel for the PS3.

Much like the Xbox 360, the PS3 still has a few more years of life left in its lifespan of relevency. In fact, I believe the console is on the tail end of its prime years, especially with the recent launch of the PS3 Slim. But it’s never too early to start playing around with potential designs for the PS4. In the mind of Chiem, the PS4 would feature transparent surfaces made for adaptive touch screens, able to navigate the system and change UIs based on your gaming or media needs.

iDrops: Control Your iPhone With a Blink of Your Eye

idrops

If only! Can you imagine if those logos on your pupil actually had to be pressed. I could totally see a swarm of fanboys in the hospital for ocular damage after poking themselves in the eye too many times. Damned people will do anything for that damned company. Now if you’ll excuse me, the nurse just called my name.

Using new and environmentally friendly nano-technology, Apple has been able to create the first bio-engineered consumer electronic. Simply use the iDrops once and you are connected.

Powered by your own body, iDrops has zero carbon footprint.

Can you see it?

iPod Slide Concept Design

ipod-slide1

The classic iPod design has been standard for so long that even Apple calls the original iPod the iPod Classic. The iPod Slide concept updates the iPod Classic design while keeping all of the device’s classic elements intact.

It just makes the classic design a little more… compact. Allowing the iPod to slide sort of like those slide phones that were popular for about six months a year or so ago.

Star Trek Enterprise Record Player

star-trek-enterprise-record-player_01

Always more of a Star Wars guy than a Trekkie, I still couldn’t help but shit myself just a tad when I saw this awesome Star Trek Enterprise Record Player concept. Had no one really thought about this before? Was there not a similar creation already in existence? It seems so clear!

Inspired by the USS Enterprise starfleet from the Star Trek TV series and featured on the Star Trek Model Gallery, the Enterprise Record Player could be the ultimate in geeky vinyl gear. Would it be scandalous to listen to my Star Wars Dub record on here? (more…)

phyto-purification-bathroom1

The Phyto-Purification Bathroom and Shower concept uses your wasted water, unused and usually flushed down the drain, to help aid the growth of an organic system which purifies the water, right in your bathroom.

The plants are organized in such a way that they aid each other’s growth and all play a vital role in the purification of the wasted water. The plants are used as a green solution and a filtering process, ended by a carbon filter to stop any remaining particles.

iPiano: If Apple Was in the Music Instrument Business…

ipiano1

If Apple happened to design musical instruments along with their gadgets, their piano creation might look something like this. The completely fictional iPiano features built-in musical score reading software which allows you to read compositions right from a built-in touch screen. Slide your finger to move on to the next page of music.

The iPiano would also feature video capabilities, for following along with video tutorials as you practice your instrument. Also, the image of Apple’s Philip Schiller furiously playing the piano, man-boobs bouncing away, is too much to resist.

Flickr Finds: Apple Concepts From 1991

apple_timeband

Buried in the depths of Flickr was a small photo set featuring a Japanese magazine called AXIS. The 1991 issue, preserved in full digital color, talks about Apple’s design at the time and opens discussing regarding several concept products we’ve never even heard of. A wearable Mac for your wrist? The TimeBand. There’s even a wacky portable tablet system that resembles a Wacom tablet mixed with a Mac SE/30.

Why are you still reading this? Get your ass over to Flickr and check this shit out. This is gold!

Want to get confused with menus? Rubik’s Cube concept design

rubik cube mp3 player concept

Have you ever felt the desire to mess around with a Rubiks Cube while messing around on your MP3 player’s menus? No? Same here. While this concept for an MP3 player looks very simple and clean, actually thinking about it presents problems. If you first think about what a Rubiks cube is, you’ll realize that it’s puzzle. That is all a Rubiks Cube is. Why would you want to make any part of any portable media device a kind of puzzle? Menus and functions are supposed to be straightforward. As proven by the iPod, a two concentric circles sells the best. The idea here is that by turning the upper and lower sections (or maybe just the middle), you lock and unlock the buttons and fucntions of the media player. What is wrong with a hold button? This concept should stay that, just a concept. While the pictures are pretty and the blue on white probably made Apple balk for a second, there is no reason to have to think hard about your menu system. Working any portable device should be easy as pie. — Nik Gomez
