Poufman Seats Bare No Resemblance To Pac-Man

No, really. These seats are just coincidentally named Poufman, they’ve got nothing to do with the classic Namco game, Pac-Man. No relation at all. Hell, these seats aren’t even inspired by Pac-Man one bit. If anything, Pac-Man is inspired by these seats.

The designers of Italian company QAYOT were clearly eating a slice of pizza when they spawned the creation of this luxury furniture.  One of the designers took out a slice and was like, “Whoa, Poufman!” And that’s how Poufman was born. It wasn’t until later that the company heard tales of Pac-Man’s existence. So, it can’t be considered an infringement on the trademark established by Namco back in 1980. Or can it?

Nintendo Is Finally Sick Of Pirates

At long last, Nintendo has taken legal action towards companies developing and distributing DS pirating tools, such as the R5 or R4. Nintendo, backed by 54 game software companies including Capcom, SNK, Taito, Tecmo and Square Enix are filing a lawsuit with the Tokyo District Court against companies that profit from Nintendo’s losses.

Nintendo stated that this piracy, “is causing severe damage to our company and software makers, and this is something that we cannot possibly overlook.”

Overlooking it for the past four years was a bad idea, Nintendo. Maybe if you cranked out more drinking games, people wouldn’t find the need to steal your software. To be fair, it is easier to download games from home than to drive to your local retail store. Pirates are lazy.

A Bike Design That Predates The Company Producing It

What a sweet ride! The Rasmus Gjesing ATB Tourist bicycle is the work of, you guessed it: Rasmus Gjesing. Gjesing’s company was founded 12 years ago and focuses on quality and design that tries to steer clear of the look of mass-produced bicycles.  With the ATB, everyone may think you’re riding an old bike, but that top-of-the-line Motorola MP3 helmet will make them think differently.

With that orange color and curved handlebar this bike has a retro look that makes a Commodore 64 LAN party look like the next Electronic Entertainment Expo. I’m mean, look at that seat: it’s straight out of the 70s, maybe earlier. This vintage design is quite costly, selling at $3200 dollars.

Steve Jobs Health Still In Question

Investors won’t buy your stock if they think your CEO is going to croak the following year. After the WWDC conference in June, Apple reps blamed Jobs’ more than unusual thin build on an unspecified illness that required antibiotic treatment. Despite repeated requests, company officials are not commenting on the status of Jobs’ ailment.

Jobs is a survivor of pancreatic cancer and also happens to be one of the most powerful people in business. As such, his health is of great concern for those who care for nothing more than their wallet size.

For a visionary chief executive like Jobs - who drives the development of Apple’s hit products - health is a material factor in the company’s performance, and something investors should know about ASAP.

Well, no one lives forever. So, where will Apple be after Steve Jobs?
