CD players were the hot item back in the dark ages of the 90’s. These days its all about the iPhone and mobile media. The Pandora CD Player concept attempts to bring a modern ascetic to the compact disk, using a remote control with accelerometer tilt technology.

When the remote is held vertically you can control the volume of the music, with horizonal positioning changing the remotes interface to a track navigation screen. Plus, you get the perk of being able to tell people you have a CD player which is totally decked out in Alcantara, a super luxurious suede most commenly used in high-end cars and yachts. (more…)

Ngai Luen presented its Guitar-shaped CD Player at the Hong Kong Electronics Fair 2007. What could possibly be the function of a Guitar-shaped CD Player? Two words: Nabbing chicks. The ladies love music, and they sure as hell love guys who play guitar. And us geeks need all the aid props we can get.

The CD Player has speakers integrated into its body with the volume controlled by the usual Guitar volume knobs. It’s also gonna be available in a variety of big named corporate and trendy designs, so Viva Las Ngai Luen. (more…)
