The Messiest Calendar, Ever

If you thought that the nail biting clock and calendar was weird, check out this different take on the calendar altogether. Oscar Diaz came up with this self-printing concept when he discovered he could control ink bleeding onto paper. You could have a wallpaper calendar to write on, schedule appointments and what not, but where is the fun in writing up your own “To do” list? Rather than that, try having the ink leak all over the paper, telling you what to do that day.

This self-printing technique is unfortunately merely a prototype, so no amount of ink in the world is going to plan your weekend for you. Wouldn’t that be convenient to have your whole week scheduled my a pre-embossed page with ink leaking over it? Mine is telling me to never leave the house, ever, so I won’t.

Nail Biting Time Keeper

In respect to 150 years of watch crafting, Timex, in collaboration with Core77, held a global design competition called 2154: the future of time design. OK Timex, you win this one. No one is going to compete watch designs with 150 years of watch experience.

One runner up of the competition, the TX54 concept, is a disposable clock and calender that can be worn on the user’s thumbnail. No one wants an obtrusive monster of a watch around their wrist when they can have a translucent nail clock that makes seeing in the dark as easy as pressing down on the end of your thumbnail. Look, it’s 4:20. You know what that means.

Shower Curtain Calender Reminds You To Shower Tommorow

Personal hygiene is extremely important these days. The way you appear and smell is the making of a good or bad first impression. Though in order to make those first impressions, you have to know when you have meetings. Why not mix the two life tasks together?

The Shower Curtain Calender reminds you of any upcoming events you have, so you know when to be clean and when you can just let yourself go for a day. But not too long. When the flies aren’t even hovering around you anymore, it’s safe to say you’re a one-man health hazard and it’s time to get in the damn shower. — Andrew Dobrow

iConcertCal helps the music fan schedule his life

One of Lifehacker’s Downloads of the Day, iConcertCal is a cool little plug-in for the Apple app, iCal. The iConcert freeware embeds a schedule of artists from your iTunes library and synchronizes them with your calender so you can see when in the future your favorite bands are playing close to you.

For an easier guide, just change the location to your hometown, and iConcert only marks the shows in your area for your favorite musicians. The program updates your concert listings once a week to make sure you always are prepared for your favorite bands tour, so you’ll never miss a Hillary Duff concert again!

We would really love to see something like this for Google Calender, in addition to it’s holiday date templates. iConcertCal only works in the US for now, but will most likely expand internationally eventually. — Andrew Dobrow
