Pacman is Also Good For Lighting

ocap

The very Pacman-esque O! Cap is a eco-friendly bulb cap which provides a calming color and fragrance. The scented silicon O! Cap comes in an assortment of colors and fragrances including: orange with mandarin aroma, green with lemongrass aroma or purple with cherry blossom aroma. The scent is emitted after fake Packy is placed over an eco-friendly bulb.

Screw the scent and the bulb. I just really dig the Pacman resemblance. Wakka wakka.

Flat Light Bulb For Flat Rooms

Light bulbs have not gone under many changes in design since their invention. Besides the curly eco bulbs that have spread like wild fire since the awareness of an energy crisis, conventional light bulbs have always retained their shape. That is, until Korean designer Joonhuyn Kim redesigns the light bulb to his own liking. What he creates is a light bulb that is 1/3 the volume of a normal bulb and is flatter than my back. An original design that I’d love to see in my cardboard condiminium. You know – because it’s flat!

Eco-friendly Lightsaber Packs A Mean Punch

Lightsabers are flippin’ cool but one can’t help but question their toll on the environment. Enter the Jedi Ecosaber, the lightsaber that wields a compact fluorescent bulb.  It’ll light up but, when it comes to slicing things in half, you’d be better off with a butter knife.  Redbubble is selling these t-shirts for $26.53, so grab yours before everyone in the galaxy has one.

Simpson fanatics who already have every Simpsons paraphernalia from wall clocks to pinball machines and even an eye-popping limited edition iPod design, will be happy to know that they can now decorate their computer monitor with Homer. This mini-bulb strand consists of nine little Homers, all powered by USB that’s sure to have Smithers go gay for you. It’s available at Drinkstuff.com for $32, a price that even Mr. Burns wouldn’t bitch about.

The 107-year-old Lightbulb

107lightbulb

Out in Livermore, California, one particular light bulb has seen more wars and events than anyone alive today. It’s been burning for 107 years and was manufactured by the now-defunct Shelby Electric Company. The lightbulb now has a home inside Livermore Fire Company’s Station No. 6., probably next to one of those cameras it powers.

Unlike light bulbs today, this particular bulb is said to have a perfect seal that allows no air to enter it. This keeps the bulb burning continuously for 24-hours a day and it emits no heat, just like that glow-in-the-dark doorknob you bought the other day.
