True Scrabble geeks know that a game can never last long enough. Before you know it there’s no more room to create new words, the scores are tallied and BOOM, you’re named the winner, as usual. But us Scrabble junkies demand a more in-depth experience.

This Extra Large Scrabble board is equipped with 441 squares, compared to the standard 225. The game also included 200 letter tiles instead of the usual 100. So basically you’re getting two games for the price of one. Or one large game for the price of two. I dunno, I was never great in math.

Monopoly is one of the most widely played board games in the entire world, so it shouldn’t be too much of a surprise that players (or at least UK players as of now) can finally create their own personalized version of the game, featuring custom street names, places, spaces and icons. Hell. you could even create your own recession version if you really wanted too.

Scrabble is geeky enough to begin with, but you can imagine the depths of geekiness that can be reached limiting yourself to only words of geekage. The above board is the geekiest game of Scrabble I’ve ever seen played and likely the geekiest I’ll ever see.

Even if you don’t use words like “vociferous” or “solipsism” you can still have some good ole’ geeky fun and earn a crap-load of points. Bonus points if you can convince the other players that “nerdz” is a real word.

You can play chess on any surface (other than water). Looking for a quick pick-up game? Just draw your own board with one of the chalk chess pieces and you’re good to go.

The pieces might not be as ornate or as cool as some other boards we’ve seen, but it makes up for it with pure utility. The only thing limiting you is how much of the pieces remains after drawing the board.

I’ve had chess sets destroyed, maliciously sacked by an epic battle rudely interrupting a game in mid-turn. I swore that it will NEVER happen again. I refuse to lose a game in progress just because I’m on a crusade for religious freedom.

Featuring a ridiculous 9900 black and white diamonds, this Diamond Chess Set goes beyond opulence and skips right to “I’m so rich I use hundreds as toilet paper” and “I eat diamond encrusted cupcakes” money.

The $224,000 price tag actually seems sort of low considering the crazy amount of craftmanship and the thousands of gems installed in the set. 4500 hours of artisanship was poured into this thing. Reasonable is pushing it. More stuff you will never have a chance to own.

Don’t you wish that your chessboard could sometimes be more attuned to the fantasy of an epic battle? This 3D Chessboard by Ji Lee makes your game look more like an epic massacre on a jagged mountain than a head to head clash on a simple plain.

The newly designed 3D terrain adds a completely new dimension to the already classic game of chess. The King looks even less obtainable now that he is set on his own little pedestal with his deadly wife. Totally worth getting excited over.
