So here’s the deal: since 2003, the US Army has been effectively torturing detainees at Guantanamo with scare tactics and other jazz. One of the tactics is to blast music and rock and roll at prisoners “to create fear, disorient … and prolong capture shock.” Everything was peachy keen until this year, when several musicians teamed up to protest the treatment of prisoners at Guantanamo Bay. Artists like Massive Attack and Tom Morello are trying to create awareness for this issue.

One prisoner says he to listen to Dr. Dre and Eminem for 20 days.. Listening to rap for a few weeks doesn’t sound too bad to me. For Ryan, it’d most certainly be torture.

Straight out of Hell and right under your Christmas tree is this hotter than Hell KISS-themed I-Dog. Who rocks harder than KISS? That’s right: no one. The dog sports Gene Simmons’ Demon face paint, but also shows some love to Paul Stanley with stars for the Star Child.

It plays back music via a built-in speaker and also puts on an electronic light show, all for just 30 bucks. If this dog was a real supporter of KISS, it’d drop the sassy light show and get to work on some pyrotechnics.

Melting plastic army men is loads of fun. Real army men, however – well, that’s an entirely different story. Dominic Wilcox either had a troubled childhood, or he was just as normal as the rest of us. After all, melting army men with a magnifying glass is every adolescent’s favorite pass time, right?

He’s taken this fun, yet childish activity and turned it into art by melting the army men together to form a bowl that he’s cleverly named War Bowl. The War Bowl comes in two versions: a blue Battle of Waterloo, Half British Artillery, half French Infantry and the white ‘English Civil War’ War Bowl. While you might not put anything in it, that’s not preventing it from looking awesome.

Is this a spy cam created by the military or is it Batman’s latest gadget? Of course it’s a piece of technology made by the military; Batman is a fictitious comic book character. The Army has awarded the University of Michigan College of Engineering a five year $10 million dollar grant to develop this robotic spy plane which bears an uncanny resemblance to a bat.

It’s called the COM-BAT and it’s concept was conceived by the US military for the purpose of gathering real-time data for soldiers. The folks behind the design are also huge fans of The Dark Knight. It’s a six-inch surveillance device that is powered by solar, wind and vibrations. So much for my idea of bat droppings as fuel.

National Guardsmen who pilot Army Predator drones are suffering symptoms of post traumatic stress disorder. Predator pilots launch missile attacks remotely from bases in Texas, Arizona, Nevada, and Southern California. They work in front of video screens in air conditioned trailers and go home to their families every night, but the pilots and their commanders say they are experiencing PTSD just like soldiers on the battlefield.

Predators have recently been outfitted with new higher-resolution cameras. Army personnel say the improved optics force Predator pilots to see graphic images of the impact of their bombings. Missions often require Predators to remain in the air over their targets to observe the aftermath of their attacks. These findings are bad news because the military is increasingly planning to use remote controlled drones for combat operations.

One thing most of us can agree on is that our troops overseas deserve only the finest body armor available. Their lives are at jeopardy in order to protect our freedoms, so we’d like to see everyone return home safe and sound. Soldiers could really use some of this Dragon Kin body armor from Pinnacle Armor. You can detonate an M67 grenade in point blank range and it won’t penetrate through the materials. It’s flexible so you can easily move around, which is essential during a fire fight. AK-47, M4 and MP5 rifles have also been tested on it with fantastic results. Hopefully, we’ll soon see US troops wearing the Dragon Skin standard. In the meantime, looks like they’ll have to order some BUILT backpacks and double up on those.
