Life-like Graphic Design For Animal And Robot Lovers Alike

We like art. Whether it be fusing plastics together, or building an impressive LEGO display inspired by Terminator, art is art. Especially if it’s art inspired by robotics, like these City Foundry Bots. Graphic designer and illustrator Juan Carlos Federico creates some fascinating digital collages that resemble living creatures gone robotic. They’ve ditched their organic ways for a body of scrap metal, spare parts, and recycled junk.

The art line is called “Restatos” and shows some almost life-like art pieces that look as though you actually could build them from the parts and pieces shown in the art. In fact, you probably could! Check out the link to his website to see more of his work.

Kit In Box: I’m On Ur Desk, Watching U Workz

We don’t think your boss would go for it in your work cubicle, but the Kit In Box is a cute little addition to your home office, as long as you keep the litter box on the other side of your home. Instead of a constant stream of incoming papers to your In Box, your work is replaced by your kitty. This way you can keep a constant eye on your cat, making sure she doesn’t escape.

Frankly, some cats are a real pain in the ass when it comes to working from home. Say your typing an important e-mail, when all of a sudden your cat attacks your mouse and keyboard, either typing a paragraph of nonsense or deleting the e-mail completely. For those moments, we want a Kit Out Box. — Andrew Dobrow

Sing your heart out with Decoy Roy

decoy roy

Do you love the song “Freebirdâ€? by Lynyrd Skynyrd when it’s live, like the CD version? Would you still like it if an animatronics bird were to sing it to you? Didn’t think so. Well Decoy Roy, a singing duck, will sing that or “(I Just want to) Flyâ€? by Sugar Ray for you with just the simple press of a red button. Just think of a Billy the Bass-like performance, except with a dancing duck instead of a flopping fish. Just think about the bragging you can do when you go to a friends house that has a Billy the Bass; “well I have a duck at home that sings a song that doesn’t get annoying the first time you play it.â€? Plus, who actually hangs fish up on their wall; ducks are much more common, so you won’t look like such a freak when you have a duck up on your wall. If you’re really lucky, your little friend Roy will even say some wisequacks (haha that’s funny) between great songs. If you must have the latest technology in singing and dancing animals, then you should fork out $29.95 for Decoy Roy to float your boat. — Nick Rice
