Why are mutated or disfigured animals so much cuter than normally developed ones? Dare we say it’s some sort of “runt syndrome?” For the first time in the wilds of Kenya, park rangers of Hellsgate National Park have spotted and photographed an adorably ugly albino buffalo.

Park officials say that the albino’s light coat will make the buffalo more noticeable to predators. The local Maasai community associates albinism with bad omens. *sigh* The risks of being adorable.

The elusive Cloverfield monster was the talk of the town over the last few months thanks for J.J. Abrams elusive viral marketing. When we received a leaked clip of the Cloverfield monster a few days before the movie was released, we didn’t see anything that indicated that the monster was an albino.

Though according to the revelation of the Cloverfield action figure, apparently the monster had just gotten back from a Caribbean vacation or something when the film was in production. The monster at least looks pretty icky, though not in the “I just shit my pants” way as it was portrayed in the movie. The 14″ figure itself comes with two interchangeable heads, realistic sound, an impressive 70 points of articulation and 10 of the in-movie parasites. Available for $99. (more…)
