It seems that a new concept for seating arrangements might make planes even more uncomfortably intimate. The Freedom concept (Freedom, my ass) by Premium Aircraft Interior Group, would create an additional column of seats by positioning passengers in opposite directions. The design “enables their shoulders to overlap, minimizing the width of an armrest between each occupantâ€?. Yeah, that’s just what I want. My armrest to be exchanged for my neighbor’s shoulder.
