Okay, so we all know that video games adapted into movies generally suck. Sure, there were a few exceptions, but most gamers cringe at the thought of their favorite titles being butchered by Hollywood producers.
Well, there’s at least one exception, even though it’s not a “real” movie (yet). Dan Trachtenberg is the host of “The Totally Rad Show”, and also a self-proclaimed Portal-lover. He’s released a 7-minute short that captures some of the darker elements of the Portal series.
There’s no dialogue in the short, which is even more extraordinary. The production quality is excellent, as is the choice to cast Danielle Rayne as the star. Seeing her use the Portal gun in badass fights against Aperture guards makes up for her debut in “All My Children”.
