The residents of Thailand are experiencing a flood of epic proportions right now. We already know that most of the area is situated on wet ground, which is actually sinking several inches each year. However, no one anticipated that the flooding this year would be so severe. Already, Thailand has experienced over $5.1 billion dollars in damages.
So, why should you care?
Well, on a selfish note, this means that hard drive prices are about to get seriously ugly. The Western Digital facilities in the area are currently underwater, which is about to cause a hard drive shortage really, really soon.
However, if you do buy a hard drive, you might want to take a few minutes and donate to the Thailand flood relief fund. You know, because even though you probably don’t care, you really should.
