Google Me Website Registered By Google

So, I decided to do some research on the rumored Facebook competitor that Google is planning to launch at some point in the future, according to a tweet by Digg CEO and rumor leaking machine Kevin Rose. This rumor might be more than conjecture. I ran a Whois search for the domain GoogleMe.com and it’s registered under the same Registrar that Google uses, which is MarkMonitor. The DNS details also lead to Google servers.

Whether this proves anything conclusive is up for you to decide, but it’s yet another piece of evidence giving this rumor some credence. Kevin Rose’s tweet which started the whole rumor has since been removed from his Twitter stream. Very convenient.
