CERN Choir Sings “The Particle Physics Song” in the CERN Control Center

Did you know that CERN had its very own choir? It’s true. With foxy bespectacled sopranos and handsome pocket protector donning tenors, this nerdy troupe of physicists / choir singers performs their homegrown “The Particle Physics Song” which celebrates English physicist Peter Higgs and CERN’s quest to discover the existence of the Higgs boson.

Fun fact: the Higgs boson is often referred to as “the God particle” by the media, thought physicists hate the moniker and have officially re-nicknamed it “”the champagne bottle boson.”
