Behold a Real, Working Laser Pistol

Patrick Priebe, a German hacker who seems to be very good with tools, has constructed a handheld pulse laser pistol. It fires off a 1mw bast of infrared light through a Nd:YAG laser. In the video below you can see the effectiveness of his laser pistol:

I have to say, I love the black and white finish on the device. Gives it a very Mass Effect-like look to it.
