Valve is notorious for providing support to the gaming community in the form ofÖ well, free stuff. Just recently, Valve made popular shooter Team Fortress 2 free-to-play. Now, in another gesture of appreciation to their fans, Valve is now making the Source SDK free as well.
If youíve been living in a cave and donít know what the Source SDK is, itís basically a complete package of the tools you need to make your own games (or mods) with the Source engine. All thatís missing is a bit of creativity.
Before, gamers had to purchase a game that used the Source engine in order to gain access to the Source SDK. Now, however, that may no longer be the case.
Itíll be interesting to see the creative stuff that budding game enthusiasts come up with now that the Source SDK is free.
