Geek Style: Star Wars / Terminator / Lord of the Rings Mash-Up Tee

geekmash1

What do these three movies have in common? They are three of the most important factors of geek culture. Now available convienantly mashed onto one clever t-shirt design.

Seems like Frodo didn’t do quite a good enough job of destroying the precious. Darth, model T-9000, has managed to save the ring from the depths of Mordor. Is it possible that robo-Darth is actually Sauron himself? Trippy.

Top 10 Reasons To Play Prototype

Remember the very first time you watched Terminator 2: Judgment Day and your jaw dropped the minute you saw the T-1000? I remember that day very well and it cemented my love for all things liquid metal. Prototype is a new next-gen console game due out this summer. It lets you take the role of some guy who can morph into different people, objects and weapons. Run up buildings, smash tanks with humans and destroy every goddamned thing in site. If you haven’t heard of Prototype, watch the video above. I think you’ll be running to your local Gamestop or Best Buy to plunk down some reservation money soon thereafter.

I Need Your Clothes, Boots and Your Motorcycle

terminator-salvation-exoskeleton-patchesjpg

Oh man. I wish that I had these back when Terminator 2: Judgment Day came out back in the early 1990s. These patches strap onto your body and give you the look of a damaged terminator. Were you planning on pulling out the Arnie Attire for Halloween? Don’t get caught without these patches, ’cause they’ll make your costume twice as badass as the poor kid from across the tracks’ outfit.

At $15, even Sarah Connor could afford ‘em. Without having to hack an ATM, of course.

Five Minute DIY: Terminator Sunglasses

I recently bought a new pair of sunglasses and didn’t need these cheap $6 Walgreens sunglasses I bought in Florida a year ago. With some time on my hands, I quickly modded them to resemble the pair Arnie wore in the classic action flick, The Terminator. This mod can most likely be done without solder, but we’re going to make our pair with solder. Ready to make? Read on.

I’ll Be Bach T-Shirt

No one is cooler than the Terminator, plain and simple. Found on SnorgTees today, this hilarious t-shirt reads “I’ll Be Bach” and features our main man J.S. Bach with a seriously wicked case of red eye. Once you’re wearing one of these t-shirts, no one is going to fuck with your shit. Wear it to a party and you’ll probably get laid. Just don’t dress like the guy in the pic when you wear it and you’ll basically be fine.

Honda Takes “Doing the Robot” One “Step” Too Far

honda_003.jpg

In recent years, Honda’s robotics division has really taken off. After seeing ASIMO fall down a flight of stairs during CES one year, I pretty much lost all confidence in the company. That is, until I saw this experimental walking assistance device that’s set to be unveiled in Japan this week.

Aimed at the elderly and people with disabilities, it will come in either small, medium or large sizes. With only a two-hour lifespan, this isn’t meant for hiking Everest or trekking through Central Park. However, seniors and the like will find that completing simple tasks like walking to the refrigerator or the corner store will no longer be daunting.

The only issue I really see with this device is that my 84-year-old grandmother will turn into a goddamned Terminator once she straps a set on. Instead of making me a sandwich for lunch, she’ll kill her neighbors with a gardening tool and will think her toaster is Skynet. I’ll learn to deal.

The Robotic Kamasutra: He’ll Be Back (In The Name Of John Connor, Of Course)

terminator_sex_1pos-013_54.jpg

How do robots reproduce? Well, of course, the same way humans do. By being constructed in a lab. But how do robot’s experience the ultimate robotic satisfaction? By following the Robotic Kamasutra.

If Arnold is really the Terminator, he’s going to have some real fun once he gets a hold of this information. Note that this is not for human-on-robot action. The thought of metal chafing my naughty bits is enough to turn me off. Sadly, I had to learn it the hard way. More kinky action after the jump. (more…)

Evil Lego Head Must Protect John Connor

mechinical-head-lego_54.jpg

With inspiration clearly drawn from the Terminator, this Evil Lego Machine Head was made by a Lego fanboy. While it might not be much competition to Nathan Sawaya’s incredible brick art, the Machine Head is actually pretty haunting looking.

We wonder if it’s like one of those paintings that is looking at you no matter what angle you are looking at it. Those eyes are pretty haunting. Thanks asshole, now I won’t sleep for a few nights. — Andrew Dobrow
