Poor, poor stuffed animals. I had to hold back my vomit when I saw these Mounted Plush Heads. Surely the result of a camping trip to the plush section of Toys R Us, I just can’t understand the allure of shooting poor, defenseless plushies, humane or not.
Be sure to coordinate your puke so it doesn’t hit your keyboard. The last thing we need is a lawsuit.
Some taxidermists can really go over the top with their mounted pieces. And a few, I believe are certifiably insane. “WTF Taxidermy” is a LiveJournal community dedicated to the most bizarre of bizarre taxidermy.
Included are such classics as the Flying Jackalope, the R2-D2 Rats and really, just a whole crap load of oddities. The best part is that most of them are available to buy on eBay or Craigslist.
I’m not sure how comfortable you would be using a hair comb adorned with a taxidermy guinea pig. On one hand, these taxidermy rodent accessories are unique, not as dirty as living rodents and won’t leave a trail of rice sized turds. And on the other hand, it’s a fucking dead rodent.
And these particular rodents aren’t even cute compared to other rodents. They’re actually pretty horrifying. Reid Peppard has created an assortment of rodent-themed accessories. Check out the brooch, headband and purse after the jump.

The “Untitled” piece by Maurizio Cattelan is simply a headless taxidermied horse hanging from a wall, which makes no fucking sense.
What if Bambi was part robot? Oh, and stuffed. This stuffed fawn has been given the Steampunk treatment with metallic editions added on to make it look like Bambi from the future.
We can see it now. Bambi 2, where the new robotic fawn strives for revenge on the hunter that killed his momma, only to be killed himself and stuffed like a Christmas ham. Oh, the irony! So juicy. (more…)
