King of Fighters XII Delayed

kof12

Goddamnit. July is right around the corner. I was getting super excited for the release of King of Fighters XII to replace my UFC addiction. But now I’ll have to wait. SNK is claiming the game will be out sometime in July now and hasn’t given a legitimate reason why. Rumor has it that SNK needs to re-tune the game before its release, which totally sucks. I suppose a game with all hand-drawn animations is bound to have a few flaws but come on! Where are we supposed to get our Terry Bogard fix?

Terry Bogard Action Figure

terry2

I can’t even begin to tell you about the excitement that filled my body when I came across this fucking incredible Terry Bogard action figure. For those of you who aren’t familiar with Terry, he’s from the Fatal Fury and King of Fighters series of fighting games from SNK Playmore. This figure is the coup de grace of all things KOF related but alas, all good things must come to an end.

That’s because this lovely figure isn’t available for purchase. Ugh.

No, this is a custom made action figure made from old Ken and Ryu figures with a custom paint job thrown in. It was designed and conceived by one Kyle Robinson, custom action figure maker extraordinaire. Hit the link to check out more of Kyle’s work and then we’ll both let out a collective sigh together. Deal? Good.

Nintendo Is Finally Sick Of Pirates

At long last, Nintendo has taken legal action towards companies developing and distributing DS pirating tools, such as the R5 or R4. Nintendo, backed by 54 game software companies including Capcom, SNK, Taito, Tecmo and Square Enix are filing a lawsuit with the Tokyo District Court against companies that profit from Nintendo’s losses.

Nintendo stated that this piracy, “is causing severe damage to our company and software makers, and this is something that we cannot possibly overlook.”

Overlooking it for the past four years was a bad idea, Nintendo. Maybe if you cranked out more drinking games, people wouldn’t find the need to steal your software. To be fair, it is easier to download games from home than to drive to your local retail store. Pirates are lazy.
