The Best Way To Get A Super Cheap iPod Touch

$200 is a lot of hard-earned dough to shell out for one device. Especially when there are so many other pending responsibilities. I don’t really blame this guy for taking the low road and offering a slightly higher reward for someone else’s iPod Touch. Sure, it might be just short of robbery, but “losers weepers,” right? The real question is, will the finder of the lost iTouch actually take the bait, or maybe just keep the device forĀ themselves, saying “screw... Continue reading

If The Shining Was an Anime Feature…

In my opinion The Shining is the scariest damn movie ever made. Those damn twins always scared the living shit out of me. In fact, it remains one of the only films I’m too scared to view again. Could it be have been any scarier? I’m not sure, but something about this anime-style version freaks me out. DeviantArt user Patches created this Shining anime-tized poster using characters his friends and himself had devised. So if you were wondering why the... Continue reading

Graphic Design From Mark Weaver

I haven’t posted any original graphic design in awhile, so when I saw Mark Weaver’s work, I knew I’d found something special. Weaver goes for that rustic, DaVinci-esque look that resembles an old philosopher’s sketchbook. He also makes excellent use of color, as one can easily see from the above print. I’d so buy of Mark’s work if I had the cash. Perhaps I can rent my body out, similar to that of a prostitute. Recession? What recession?

If DaVinci Designed The iPhone…

It’d probably look something like this. $26 on a shirt, $16 for a poster of it. Link

Gin and Tonic?

Not much is known about this print from designer Ian Dingman. I like the vintage look of the illustration and how it looks like a guy is clinging onto a lime for dear life. The rest of Ian’s work is equally pleasing, so make sure you click through to see more of his work. Link [via]

Smok’n, Walk’n, Drink’n, Talk’n

Ironic Coffee Poster Is Actually Useful

If you’re one of those people who relies heavily on a craft cup of coffee each morning, you’ll find this chart very helpful. It shows you how to make different drinks involving espresso. The Caffe Mocha, Americano and Caffe Latte are all here. Just add said amount of espresso, pile on the steamed milk and add a little foam. Presto! Caffeine at it’s finest. Just make sure you have an equally impressive mug. Link

Emek: Anatomical Artist Extraordinaire

Personally, I’ve never heard of Emek nor seen his work before today. I must say, I am very impressed with not only the style that he works with but the intricate details he adds to his pieces. He’s been doing posters and illustration for over 20 years and has worked with everyone from the Pixies to Audioslave to Cold. As you can see, the human body, especially the skull, is a centerpiece for his work. Releasing an average of only... Continue reading

The Last HOPE: Electronic T-Shirt Design

We came across an interesting display of posters and t-shirts from artist and designer Ray Lam at Iteetoo.com. Ray is inspired by electronic devices and creation and has started reflecting it in some fascinating art he’s designed himself. He has even taken bits and pieces from his abstract art posters and made some clever t-shirt decals for geeks and hackers alike. We are very impressed with his quirky approach towards the fusion of sci-fi and zen.
