Photo realistic PSP made in Paint: Watch and learn, cuz this guy has got skillz
[ev type="youtube" data="eFV9-RuVYRU"][/ev] YouTube user RANDISALBION, displays his affection for PSP and his expert skills at drawing photo realistic images using nothing more than MS Paint. The four-minute video is a warp speed preview of how he made this impressively real paint drawing. With a soundtrack provided by A Perfect Circle’s “Orestes”. No doubt that this sped up 4 minute video is hours and hours of time lapsed work. It might not look real enough to pick up out of... Continue reading
Possibly the world’s smallest camera stand
More and more people are taking pictures nowadays thanks to the invention of digital cameras, the biggest reason is that pictures come out free, you don’t have to print all of them, and you can always delete the ones you don’t like, as oppose to traditional film camera systems where you have to pay for ever press of the shutter key. If you own a DC then it is not uncommon that you’ve experienced blurry photos in low light conditions,... Continue reading
No this is NOT Ben Kingsley, it’s just a 3D rendering of him
We found this incredible rendering of Ben Kingsley, the famous British actor who starred in such movies as Schindler’s List and Gandhi. Believe it or not, this is NOT a real photo of Mr. Kingsley, but a 3D rendering of his likeness made by Jacques Defontaine. It has got to be one of the most realistic, if not the most realistic, 3D image we have ever seen. Simply incredible. — Andrew Dobrow Project Page [TKIO]
Sony NW-A800 Video Walkman: Rumor or reality?
There’s no telling what leaks are real and which are just hoaxes. Supposedly, the photo above is the first look at the Sony Video Walkman, dubbed the NW-A800. The Walkman is regarded as Sony’s answer to the iPod Nano except for its very superior battery life for video playback. Sony Germany has a teaser photo and count down which is almost enough of a verification for our purposes, but for now we can only leave it up to speculation. Though... Continue reading
Swatch Infinity concept watch overcomes size obstacle
Watches are one product that has done its job well over the years, and not too much has been done to revolutionize this function. Sure, many have tried to stuff in more hi-tech features, but most of these devices just wind up looking bloated and unseemly. Swatch’s new Infinity Concept Watch (there is such a thing as a concept watch?) completely erases these stereotypes. This media device plays music and video, records audio, and creates/views photo albums on its beautiful... Continue reading
Microsoft releases Photo Info metadata editor
So while the world (maybe an exageration) is waiting for Windows Vista to be released, Microsoft has slipped out a little program titled Microsoft Photo Info. The names says it all. The program is meant for more serious digital photography buffs who want to edit the metadata of their photos from inside of Windows Explorer. It really has some nice and advanced features that let you refine the metadata to a pretty fine point.
Brightec paper glows in the dark, brings back Halloween
Glow-in-the-dark. Everything that glows in the dark can be turned into a toy for little kids to play with. Then come the glow sticks. Way more fun, until someone decides that it might be really cool to cut it open, and most of the time, scissors aren’t around so they use their teeth. Good times. Now there is a glow-in-the-dark paper that uses ambient light to charge some kind of patented pigment that can illuminate whatever is on the paper... Continue reading
Telephoto lens for your camera phone
No one can deny that camera phone quality leaves something to be desired. There’s nothing more embarrassing then having a photo-op taken with a 1.5 MP camera. People have been beat up for less. For the relatively inexpensive price of $19, you can get this Telephoto lens which adds a 6x zoom to your camera’s quality. Sure, it might be bulky and ugly. And of course most DSLR’s released today would probably take up the same amount of space. But... Continue reading
