The lovely folk at T-Mobile just sent us our Android-equipped Google G1 phone for review. After the jump, all the pics you could ever want, including a sampling of the supposedly three-megapixel camera it has.

Waiting for an end to Vista? Don’t hold your breath. Microsoft will release Service Pack 2 for Windows Vista before it releases Windows 7 it’s been announced. Ugh. It feels like Bush being elected for a third term. Link

Up until now, Microsoft was peddling Windows Vista as it’s latest and greatest operating system. Sure, the company had briefly mentioned Windows 7 but it was just a codename and not much came out of it. Nokia is tight but Motorola? I haven’t seen a desirable phone from you guys since the PEBL. Ouch! In all seriousness, both phone manufacturers are building up solid Google Android teams in house to help develop phones that will run the OS. Motorola is supposedly forming a huge 350 person team to solve the lack of Android-equipped phones the company offers. What happens when you put Windows Vista on a Playstation 3? Just an assload of down time, that’s what. This video shows some schmuck successfully running the OS under emulation and requiring nearly 25 minutes to fully boot up.  It even takes twelve minutes to load up Notepad, which is an amazing feat considering how demanding the application is. I can’t imagine a world without Windows. It seems like only yesterday I was spending hours trying to figure how to change my desktop wallpaper on Windows 3.1. Rumor has it that everyone’s favorite OS is making its way to the OLPC XO this year. According to reports, testing is to begin in June to determine if Windows XP is a viable solution for XO laptops. If all goes well, you could be picking up an XO laptop by September. The existing OS, Sugar Linux, will not be wiped out of the picture anytime soon, much to Microsoft’s dismay. Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer is one entertaining man. Both brutally unique and charismatic, something which he has recently shown is a certain level of humility. Ballmer has even gone as far as admitting that Vista is an “incomplete product”, while speaking at Microsoft’s Most Valuable Professionals event in Seattle yesterday.
