XM-Sirius Will Most Likely File For Bankruptcy

parsons-karmazin

The New York Times tends to be a pretty reputable news source. So when I read last night that XM-Sirius Satellite Radio is probably going to file for bankruptcy, I felt like absolute shit. Why? Because I recently bought some shares of the company hoping it’d recover by 2011. Apparently CEO Mel Karmazin just can’t get the company to turn a profit and the debt is piling up. Combined with pissed off shareholders like myself who are fuming over a botched EchoStar sale, XM-Sirius is probably going to go under in the next two years.

The company is preparing to file for Chapter 11 bankruptcy soon. R.I.P. XM-Sirius.

First Wave of iPhone 3G Reviews Are In

There is always the Apple fanboy (as well as the general consumer) who wants to read reviews despite the close release of a product. In this case, the iPhone 3G comes out on Friday and the NY Times, WSJ and USA Today have all reviewed the latest iPhone. The verdict?

Generally awesome, overall. Data speeds are “much, much faster” according to Mossberg and Pogue is in love with it. Baig from USA Today even goes as far to say there’s “no equal among consumer-oriented smartphones.” Them’s big words! Looks like it’s a big hit and you’ll be waiting in line this Friday if you’re itching to get one. Good luck!
