Mickey Mouse Returns As A Jedi
Ah yes, another Monday, another fantastic day filled with Star Wars goodness. Someone better call Lando. No, It’s not a party so don’t go grabbing case after case of Colt 45 malt liquor just yet. I just thought Lando would be interested in these $200 figurines. They’re a fusion of Disney and Star Wars characters. You’ve got Mickey Mouse as Luke, Minnie Mouse as Queen Amidala, Donald Duck as Darth Maul and Goofy as a confused Jar Jar Binks. Where’s... Continue reading
Mr. Potato Head Meets Hellboy
Using a little bit of clay and a whole lot of imagination, Ash Ringrose of Mr. PotatoMash has become popular molding clay into a well-made array of pop culture, movie, and cartoon characters. One of his later works isĀ a Mr. Potato rendition of Hellboy. In light of the upcoming release of the hero’s new movie: Hellboy II: The Golden Army we’d like to thank Ringrose for his dedication and excellent work. We can’t wait to see the upcoming Captain... Coaster Dynamix Roller Coaster Kits
Before you pop enough wood to start a paper mill, you should know that these are scale models of roller coasters. At 1:48 scale, they’re no tiny LEGO bricks. This is a real, working roller coaster that uses gravity to fling it left and right, up and down. Shown above is the Dragon, a $500 model that has an electric geared lift and enough seats to make all your Mighty Max action figures barf. Each kit comes with extra parts... Continue reading
Lego Johnny Five Lacks Emotions
Anyone who grew up in the ’80s remembers Johnny Five of Short Circuit. The perfect killing machine with absolutely no desire to kill after having disbanded its deadly laser beam weaponry in favor of a pocket knife. Yea, Johnny Five’s a robo-boy scout but his redeeming quality is his vast knowledge of pop-culture. As tribute to the friendliest librarian robot around, Brickshelf user rack911 has constructed a Johnny Five model out of LEGOs and other compatible bricks. Johnny Five says,... Continue reading
First Person Video RC Kit
While the product is designed with RC model airplanes in mind, the Pilot View Realtime First Person Video system is an all-inclusive kit for the hobbyist that wants to take their project to the next level. You attach the kit to your plane, throw on the goggles and let loose. In turn, you can experience a view from the skies as if you were really flying around inside your aircraft. Due out May 30th, the FPV doesn’t come cheap. Be... Continue reading
Gigantic Ford GT Nitro Gas R/C Car Is 1/5th As Cool As The Real Thing
If you’ve been saving up your cash so you can own your own Ford GT Nitro, forget about it. It’s not worth the novelty when you can own your very own 1/5th scale remote controlled model of the car for a fraction of the price of the real thing. And when we say it’s a scale model, we mean it, not like one of those full-sized Hummer R/C jobbies. Featuring a23cc engine, a 450cc fuel tank and a 15kg metal... Continue reading
Lego Camaro Is Greased Lightnin’!
Fans of the Camaro are among the most hardcore enthusiasts, as can can be seen by this Floridian Lego modeler. Crafting a Camaro using nothing but Legos. It sure would have been a chick magnet back in the late 70s. To make sure the Camaro adopted all of the curves of a modern automobile, the designer seems to use some pieces from the Lego Technic line of brick tools. This model is complete with fake engine and pimped interior. Pretty... Continue reading
Building Crap With Other Crap
The Mauger Modern Art gallery is hosting an exhibition for artist Robert Bradford, who creates Technicolor-styled creations using an assortment of old plastic crappy gadgets. Kind of like Nathan Sawaya and his Lego creations, except without the user-friendliness of bricks. His creations include an AK-47, a person, and a doggy, all made with various plastic doodads with a great feel for color. Maybe I’ll use some of my old shitty toys to make one large awesome toy. So mount up... Continue reading
The Church Tank: Not Aerodynamic Enough For Battle
The Church Tank is the brainchild of Russian artist Kris Kuksi, and you probably already guessed that it makes a statement about war in the name of religion. It’s not an actual tank, only a model measuring 8″ h 4″ w x 10″ d, but I have a feeling that a full-size version would generate a little too much drag to be practical in battle. —Sean Fallon Link [via]
G-rated video of Motorola’s leaked “LAZR”
[ev type="youtube" data="Q4OC-sNpgXs"][/ev] Don’t know what’s the deal with the girl, but the phone is truly hot. Supposedly an updated RAZR (and KRZR) with extra large external screen, and a form factor thinner than KRZR. What’s more is that it supports reading out messages and emails in a computer voice. We don’t know how legit this is yet. More video and pictures after the jump.
