Darth Vader Cupcakes: Taste The Dark Side

Kati Peck might be a little bit of a nerd for creating a whole batch of intricately decorated Star Wars cupcakes, but as far as I’m concerned, she’s one talented nerd with a knack for baking. Each cupcake features our main man, Darth Vader, in all his Dark Side glory. Underneath his mask lie two bright-red lightsabers.

All this talk about Star Wars is giving me an elongated lightsaber. Thankfully, Kati also made a batch of Lost-themed cupcakes that look like a desert island when viewed overhead. One thing’s for sure, though: all these cupcakes look amazingly delicious. After the jump, more pictures/lunch!

Where are my damn keys? I know! “I call me”

icallme.jpg

I Call Me plans to help a problem that plagues millions, perhaps billions of people each year. The panicked craze of losing ones keys. I Call Me is a special keychain which you attach to your set of keys, which can be called by your phone, at which point the device will start beeping, and chirping (and perhaps blinking).

If this device ever makes it past the conceptual stage I’m going to buy a pair for everyone I know. They won’t soon forget this great gift. — Andrew Dobrow

Paging your lost precious

Isn’t it just annoying when you lose stupid items like keys, your wallet, your purse (and murse) or even your kid? They’re usually just somewhere, at the stupidest places covered by paper or clothes or food. Japanese company Imao (not LMAO) has come to save us with their Mitsukaru tags. What the tags do is that they are traceable with your remote, when you lost your wallet, simply press your remote and the tag in your wallet will ring. The maximum distance for that to work is 10m, so you can imagine yourself walking around the house and pressing the remote until you hear something. Well, this is already better than nothing. The tags measures 30×51x9mm, so it should not be too difficult to fit into your toilet case, or just use it as a keyholder. The remote uses AAA battery where as the tags use CR-2032 button batteries. The Mitsukaru tags come in 4 colors per pack, all with different alarm tones (that are actually too loud by Japanese standard- Impress), the whole kit is selling for 80USD. You can have an idea of how big the tag is after the jump.
