Recycled Teacups Look Great If You’re Older Than 68

These recycled teacups called “Ted Lights” from Domestic Construction are just what you need to impress the grandkids! Home decor for the elderly never looked so stylin’.  A cool design and the feint odor of mothballs make for the perfect light to illuminate your kitchen with. Oh, and you can’t drink out of them as there’s holes drilled into the bottom, so don’t try it.  Singles or clusters are available. Link (via)

Brightdoor Good For Us, Bad For The Colorblind

Sometimes simplicity can be king when designing a product. Case in point: The Brightdoor. A creation from the studio of Lervik Design, Brightdoor works just like a traffic light sans yellow. If the door glows green, it’s unlocked and you can enter. Seeing Red? No entrance for you! Like many unique products, this is just a prototype that isn’t going to be implemented anytime soon. At first, I couldn’t fathom is how this door could be applied to real-life situations.... Continue reading

Da Table Is Da Coolest Table Dat You Ever Did See

I decided this homebrew LED coffee table is the perfect way to begin a new week. It’s called Da Table and features a grid of LED lights right below the surface of the table. The grid can also be programmed to display a number of messages and patterns through an integrated micro controller. Something tells me a cheeseball would buy this and propose to his girlfriend via a god damned coffee table. While it’s not an energy-efficient table, per se,... Continue reading

Lava Lamp Shot Glasses Make Or Break Your Trip

My friend Dennis once told me a story about drinking in Japan. Turns out after a few rounds, he did a shot of 2C-E and the night turned into a grooved out trip. Thanks to the bright lights of Tokyo and Akihabara, he was able to roam the streets with something interesting to gaze at for a few hours. Unfortunately, your suburb may not have the charm or lights of Japan, so why not make the LSD go down a... Continue reading

Nightglasses, Corey Hart knew what he was talking about after all

You didn’t realize the joke in “I Wear My Sunglasses At Night”, did you? Luckily for you, you now get to be the only person in the group of your friends to think that these glasses will make you as cool as Corey Hart. The glasses (not sunglasses) really show off their abilities when you step into the clubs with neon lights everywhere. The bars you see here aren’t the only designs offered; you can choose from different patterns, colors,... Continue reading

City puts LEDs in street lights

A special city in the US has replaced some of its street lights with LED lights. What city might this be you ask? Well it happens to be Ann Arbor, Michigan, home of the famous University of Michigan Wolverines. Why are they so famous? Well, they just got demolished by USC (go Trojans!) in the Rose Bowl on January 1st in Pasadena. Sorry, that was my little rant on putting down Michigan because I am a USC fan. Anyways, Ann...
