In an announcement made to calm anxious business men and XP fans alike, Toshiba has announced that they will be shipping their Satellite T31 notebook with both XP and Vista included in the box. Not everybody is happy with the touchpad on laptops. In fact, some would even buy a separate mouse. No matter how compact they are, you’d always need to carry an extra chunk of gear (complete with cables a lot of the time). Microsoft has announced they will be testing out the One Laptop Per Child device with Windows XP, sexing up the current Linux based system. Microsoft hasn’t announced how likely an official Windows version of the OLPC XO device will appear, though if tests are successful we can expect a better idea by the second half of 2008. Man, oh man, have we seen some kickass notebook mods in our day. It feels like it was only yesterday that I was proclaiming the iTop the coolest thing since sliced bread. Apple has officially confirmed that Mac OS X Leopard will hit store shelves on Friday, October 26th starting at 6pm.
