Units App Makes iPhone An Indispensable Tool For Drug Dealers

Wu tang Clan Rapper and drug expert Ghostface Killah once rapped that “all around the world today the kilo is the measure, a kilo is a thousand grams easy to remember.” That may be true, drug dealers also have to work with many other units of measurement like ounces, which weigh in at a much less memorable 28.35 grams. Thankfully, now there’s Units, an iPhone app which makes selling illegal drugs easier than ever.

Units, which is currently the third most popular iPhone app, is a simple calculator that allows users to convert between different units of measurement right on their phones. Units can convert between grams, ounces, pounds, and kilos making it an awesome app for drug dealers with rusty math skills. Best of all, Units also comes with a currency converter for international drug smuggling operations. Units costs just ninety-nine cents, which is just a fraction of what you could end up losing by falling victim to fuzzy math during a drug buy. Everybody knows how much dealers love cell phones, so if this app makes the iPhone the cell of choice for black market entrepreneurs Steve Jobs and the folks at who developed Units at Crossroad Solutions should stand to make a pretty penny. Units also calculates distances, temperatures, power for those of you who don’t sell illegal substances. With all of these features, it’s no wonder Units is outselling useless apps like iBeer and the D20 dice.

Forgot The Dice For Your Campaign? iPhone Is The Solution

Dice can be some cumbersome equipment to carry around for board games. That’s alright though, because as long as you have your iPhone on you, you’ll have a set of some topnotch dice that’ll have any D&D enthusiast drooling at your feet. It’s only 99 cents from the Apple store, after which you’ll be rolling away with your D20 Gaming Dice Set. More practical than iBeer, with a prettier interface than that chick holding the D20 die.

Remember, it’s compatible with most die-based games, so you’re not limited to playing Dungeons and Dragons exclusively but c’mon, that’s what this app was made for. It’s got four, six, eight, ten, twelve, twenty and hundred sided dice a shitload of dice that’ll also let you roll between one and nine dice at a time.

Unlock Your iPhone 3G For $17

Gear Diary stumbled upon a SIM Card attachment that will unlock your iPhone 3G by piggybacking onto your current SIM. This hardware-based method of unlocking fools the phone into thinking it’s a special “test mode” SIM, thus allowing any GSM carrier to access your iPhone 3G. To boot, it won’t void your warranty since it’s a removable hardware method. iPhone acting up and you need to take it to the Genius Bar? Remove the attachment and take your phone in.

If this were the very first iPhone, you’d expect to pay around $100 for this kind of accessory. At DealXtreme, you’ll pay $17 for the freedom to use any GSM cellular provider you desire.

iPhone 3G Jailbroken

If you were lucky, last Friday, you walked into an AT&T or Apple store and walked out with an iPhone 3G that you were told to “activate at home.” You, my friend, are one of the lucky ones who was able to purchase an iPhone 3G will little to no hassle (as far as unlocking goes). The iPhone Dev Team probably had a few of these lucky people, considering that their Pwnage tool will unlock the iPhone, iPod Touch or iPhone 3G with ease.

The software should be available to the public soon, but until then, watch the video after the jump to view the proof.

iPhone 3G Sells One Million Units

Apple has announced that it has sold one million iPhone 3Gs since it launched last Friday. Says CEO Steve Jobs:

“iPhone 3G had a stunning opening weekend,” said Steve Jobs, Apple’s CEO.

“It took 74 days to sell the first one million original iPhones, so the new iPhone 3G is clearly off to a great start around the world

At this rate, the iPhone 3G is easily on its way to surpass the original iPhone in sales. The fact that the 3G was launched in 22 counties probably helped too. Thought the one million units was impressive? Over 10 million applications have been downloaded from the App Store already, which is absurd. Apple really has locked itself into the mobile phone market as a top competitor this time around.

Crunchgear’s John Biggs, shown here in a file photo, is reporting that the AT&T store in historic Bay Ridge, Brooklyn is out of iPhones. Other stores are showing low or no inventory in stock. If you can’t wait, you better find that secluded AT&T store on the third floor of the mall. You know, the one next to the pet store.

UPDATE: The Consumerist is saying that AT&T will refund your activation fee for putting up with these long wait times.
