Possibly the world’s smallest camera stand
More and more people are taking pictures nowadays thanks to the invention of digital cameras, the biggest reason is that pictures come out free, you don’t have to print all of them, and you can always delete the ones you don’t like, as oppose to traditional film camera systems where you have to pay for ever press of the shutter key. If you own a DC then it is not uncommon that you’ve experienced blurry photos in low light conditions,... Continue reading

Sony pushes Memory Stick Duo to 32GB, charges an arm and a leg
Why does Sony love its proprietary media storage formats so much? The list just goes on with UMD, Beatmax, MiniDisc, and the Memory Stick. There seems to be no real reason for all of this. All the proprietary formats do is cost the consumer more money. After the release of Sony’s CompactFlash compatable cameras, it seemed that Sony might be learning the wrong of their ways. Now that they have pushed the capacity of the Memory Stick Duo line to... Continue reading
Oversized Ricoh 500SE delivers GPS, so what?
This product is definately directed at a very niche market. The Ricoh 500SE camera looks a bit oversized, but there is a good reason why. It has a built in GPS chipset inside of its camera body. Also, the body is big because it has been made for rugged use. If you’ve ever dropped a camera and it went kaput, that probably won’t happen with this heavy duty camera. Its GPS capabilities come in through the integrated Blutooth radio. So... Continue reading
Ditch that DSLR viewfinder with the Zigview S2
It’s one of the sacrifices that must be made to be a full convert to the DSLR ways: losing the live LCD preview. Using a DSLR means looking through the viewfinder, unless you are so talented that you can perfectly place your subjects in the right frame without even looking at a preview. If that is you, then you don’t have to worry about this little gadget, but if you are one of the many who have trouble with that... Continue reading
Camera Action Hero: attack with your phone camera
Japanese game publisher Mobcast has started selling their new BREW cellphone game titled “Camera Action Hero” on AU KDDI’s portal for 100yen ($1). At first glance this looks like just another Mario-esque game about jumping around and shooting monsters. However the company added a little twist to this and decided to make use of the camera on your phone. On top of pressing the usual buttons, users must take pictures of the required color in order to attack specific monsters,... Continue reading

LG releases yet another phone, the SB190
LG just released the SB190, their next phone in the line-up, to their friends in Korea. LG took into account the popularity of the Chocolate, and so again steered away from flip phones, creating another slider. Sliders are great and all, but after a few months the screen starts to get scratch from everyday wear and tear, and then your once cool slider is now a piece of crap, even if it has specs than all the other phones on... I dare you, use the Extendable Hand Held Tripod
Don’t ever get caught using this device unless you are in a situation where the ‘stick-your-arm-out-and-curl-hand’ method can’t possibly work. If anyone ever sees you, just be ready to be the butt of everyone’s joke. You look like a complete geek (not the fun geek, the weird geek) and the pictures can’t be improved that much. The Extendable Hand Held Tripod (which isn’t really a tripod) is on Amazon for $19.99, a perfect gag gift for that preteen niece of... Continue reading
Motorola releases MOTO ROKR E6
Motorola has just released its PDA cellphone, the MOTO ROKR E6. Unfortunately, it’s only available in China, hopefully we’ll see it here sometime soon. This baby looks pretty sweet with its 2.4” 262k color touchscreen TFT display and its reasonable thickness of 14.5mm. The laser blue accented navigation outline still impresses. The E6 also has a 2 megapixel digital camera on the back of it, and it boasts an amazing 8x digital zoom (which you know not to pay attention... Continue reading
