Blizzard Takes Pranking To A New Level, Thinks You’re An April Fool

Blizzard went all out this year for their April Fool’s day festivities, and I am loving it! Blizzard has released four April Fools’ themed pranks on their official website. Have you heard about the new face-melting Bard hero class in World of Warcraft which integrates Guitar Hero-like gameplay to the MMO? Or how about that Blizzard will be giving WoW the console treatment? Be sure not to miss the newly announced Tauren marine units for Starcraft II and a new... Continue reading

Protoss As Paper: Starcraft Origami

With the long awaited Starcraft sequel on its way from Blizzard, we should be seeing more and more of these Starcraft fanboy projects popping up, like back in the good ole days of Starcraft on Battle.net. These Starcraft Origami pieces were made by a South Korean Starcraft fan. We will be eagerly awaiting instructions on how to fold our own. We’ll be patient…DAMMIT, just tell us how to do it or we’ll Zerg rush you. — Andrew Dobrow Link

Custom World Of Warcraft Figurines Bring Your Toon To Life

After spending weeks of your life signed on to World of Warcraft (or Warcrack as we like to call it) you’d like something to show for it. FigurePrints has a service that allows you to replicate your character with a actual plaque figurine. Through a partnership with Blizzard, FigurePrints uses 3D scanning technology to create a life-like creation of your character, complete with a name plate for identiffication purposes (which makes it much easier to identify the mangled body of... Mr. T’s Mohawk Class And Other New WoW Commericials

Blizzard has added a set of new World Of Warcraft commercials to their official WoW site. So far they have posted versions with Mr. T, who claims to have a Night Elf Mohawk, despite the lack of a Mohawk class (though Mr. T claims to have expert computer skills), and William Shatner making his own appearance, admitting to being a Shaman. You must watch the videos to believe it. Some really funny, real commercials featuring nerdy cult followed celebrities?... Continue reading

WoW Lich King Expansion Release Date Leaked?

As I was browsing around Amazon, I came across an interesting entry when I searched for World of Warcraft. The page in question is a pre-order page for the WoW expansion Wrath Of The Lich King. Amazon says the shipping date is November 30th, 2008, with the game retailing for $39.99 on the online superstore. Now, we know Amazon sometimes leaves this up to speculation, putting a guess-timation date when no such date is confirmed, yet after I placed my... Continue reading

Two Fresh WoW Lich King Screenshots

Blizzard has added two new screenshots to their collection for the WoW expansion, Wrath Of The Lich King. If you ask me, these new shots don’t look too different from many locations already available on the game, but it’s always nice to see new material and landscapes, regardless of repetition. These new screenshots come only a few days after more info about the Death Knight class was revealed. I like that they’re gradually revealing more. It means the release is... Continue reading

Dying boy gets his gaming wish

The Make-A-Wish Foundation has been making terminally ill people’s dreams come true for decades. This little boy with a brain tumor must of been one huge World of Warcraft fan. 10-year-old Ezra Chatterton had his wish fulfilled when Blizzard agreed to give him a full hands-on onslaught of WoW goodness. Ezra got the chance to record his voice in a studio for his character, designed his own weapon, created his own quest, and was even given the chance to use... Continue reading

Starcraft 2 confirmed? And more from Blizzard: Will it be MMO? Oh, gee-whiz we hope so!

Blizzard has tipped sources that an announcement with much more detail regarding Starcraft 2, the sequel to the highly successful original, will be released at the World Wide Invitational, next month in Seoul, South Korea. For now, Blizzard has been keeping pretty mum about anything regarding a new Starcraft, and really, who could blame them. According to a Korean site, Blizzard is currently developing the Starcraft sequel with 3D graphics. Could there be a surprise World of Starcraft in the... Continue reading
