Telescoping Ladder: For The Space-Saving Peeping Tom

telescopic-ladder

Being a night stalker isn’t always easy for the urban dweller. Especially if your target’s apartment building doesn’t have a fire escape. Sometimes you’ve gotta bring your own supplies. That’s why this Telescoping Ladder design is perfect for the peeping tom with limited space.

There’s no room to hide an eight foot ladder. It just doesn’t work. The telescoping mechanism allows this 12.5 foot ladder into a 2.5 foot space.

Create 3D Illusion with Simple Black Vinyl Wall Stickers

3d-wall-stickers

An excellent idea for adding some extra depth into your home or apartment, a simple black vinyl wall sticker can transport your light switch into a 3D optical illusion. I’m sure you could pull this off with some plain black tape. You probably don’t even need to buy a special kit for this.

Fold Out Mural Shelves

fold-out

I’ve always loved designs with more than one use. Any more than three uses is pushing it. Then you are moving into kitsch territory. Mark Kinsley’s Fold Out Mural shelves are right in the sweet spot with two functions; looking pretty as a wall mural and folding out to provide some much needed shelving space.

This would be an awesome apartment space saver. A way to beautify your pad and provide some multi-level storage.

Foldable Bed is a Real Space Saver for Small Apartments

nicola-bed-1_hdayh_48_xqmgs_17621

We’re not, what you might call, “living large” here at Gearfuse (unless we’re talking about our scarily huge genitals. Really, we’re monsters.) We’re lucky if we can have more than two friends over at once without feeling cramped. But that’s not to say we’re complaining. We have a little nook to call our own for the time being, and that’s more than others can say. Though it’s always nice to save a little extra room. Even five square feet makes a huge difference in small quarters.

This folding bed design by Nicola From Bern is an awesome option for limited living space. An angled frame and fiberglass-reinforced plastic tubes create a bed frame that can be adapted to different mattress sizes. It’s probably not the most convenient method of saving extra space (you could always get some clunky futon,) but its minimalistic design fits right in with a minimalistic lifestyle.

Magic Apartment Light – What Goes On Behind Closed Doors?

Look at all of the nasty things going on in this apartment. Shitting, fucking, killing, stealing and even tripping are revealed when this magic apartment light is lit up. With the lights off, this house looks like nothing out of the ordinary, but flip the switch and you’re in for a big surprise. The things people do when I’m not around is frightening.

This wild lamp goes for $38.50 and if you’re in the States you’ll need a voltage converter to get it running. It’ll be worth it though, considering this thing has the uncanny ability to scare off guests lacking a sense of humor.

Pixel Art With Perforated Coasters

You’ve got to complete the pixelated feng shui you were going for at your pad. Finally, coasters that’ll match your wallpaper and yard decorations. At first glance, these look no different than a series of coasters linked together for you to rip off accordingly. But, upon closer inspection, they turn out to be so much more than that.

Each coaster is made up of 110 individual one centimeter squares that enable you to make your own custom pixel creations out of them.  It’s art you can make yourself, for yourself.  They come in two colors: pink and blue. A stack of 50 coasters goes for around $8 bucks, which is a steal. You’ll have more coasters than you’ll ever know what to do with. So, why not give the art thing a try? You’ve got nothing to lose except your high score.
