250 Pokemon Redesigned as Ancient Mythological Japanese Creatures
If Pokemon had been first drawn in the days of feudal Japan, those pocket monsters might have looked a bit different. In fact, they likely would have taken on a similar style as the demons which fill ancient Japanese scrolls. This clever Japanese artist redrew the Pokemon, reimagining their design to resemble ancient mythological Japanese creatures. First there was Godzilla, then there was Mario and Yoshi. Sorry I’m Not Home Right Now, I’m Walking Into Spider Web Clothing
How would you like wearing a shirt made out of 100% real spider webs? Zheng Xianwen used the ancient method of creating clothing out of cobwebs to create this spider web shawl / shirt. The shirt took him two days to make using the ancient methods. The good news is that he has plenty of spiders left over to snack on. Hopefully he didn’t leave any stragglers. Link
The 107-year-old Lightbulb
Out in Livermore, California, one particular light bulb has seen more wars and events than anyone alive today. It’s been burning for 107 years and was manufactured by the now-defunct Shelby Electric Company. The lightbulb now has a home inside Livermore Fire Company’s Station No. 6., probably next to one of those cameras it powers.
