Noise-canceling windows shut out your neighbors

Let’s be honest. If you live in the suburbs or the city, there is no way that you like everyone who lives around you. Maybe they are constantly screaming or having their dog outside barking. You figure the dog has to shut up sometime, but it never does. Using piezoelectric patches, these specially designed windows cancel outside noise. The way that normal windows are made are highly sensitive to noise vibration. The patches absorb most of it.

If you don’t want to shell out the money for triple paned glass, the windows with noise-canceling have got to be the number one choice now that they’re available. Of course, if there were to be a national emergency, and everyone outside was screaming in agony, these windows might hamper your safety. Meh. Oh, well. — Andrew Dobrow
