Kevin Rose Leaks iTunes 8 Information

That smug bastard from Digg, Kevin Rose, has shed some light on Apple’s upcoming revision of iTunes, version 8:

A new source comes forward w/this info: (this is consistent w/everything I’ve heard)

What’s new in iTunes 8

iTunes 8 includes Genius, which makes playlists from songs in your library that go great together. Genius also includes Genius sidebar, which recommends music from the iTunes Store that you don’t already have.

With iTunes 8, browse your artists and albums visually with the new Grid view; download your favorite TV shows in HD quality from the iTunes Store; sync your media with iPod nano (4th generation), iPod classic (2nd generation), and iPod touch (2nd generation); and enjoy a stunning new music visualizer.

I’m curious to see how well Apple does this “Genius” technology. I have over 105 GB of music. Get to work, Jobs.

  1. i use iTunes and have 130gb of music, but for the serious music collector like my father, itunes really does not fulfill the needs, a few year back a got my father ripping his enormous cd and Ld, over 20.000 cds, Hes not close to finishing and has over 2 TB of Music in 320kb quality.
And i could not get him to move to mac, cause of the lack of functionality in itunes. FYW he uses and pc soft, called advanced Mp3 catalog..that i find very very annoying.
